You need to get real. We just went to your place for my goddaughter's birthday, and it was awful. Those "5-star reviews" you have? They must be fake, because there's no way anyone would actually give this place 5 stars. Right when you walk in, it's a mess. The floor is gross, there's dust everywhere, and everything chairs, front desk, tables are sticky. When they sat us down, I saw burnt stuff and grease under the cooking area, right where they keep bowls, napkins, and everything we'd need. It was disgusting. Our waitress was the worst. She hardly ever came back to our table. We had to wave down other servers just to get refills, napkins, and to order more food. She had no personality and clearly hated being there. She was gone almost the whole time. And of course, she got a tip from everyone at the table because your company automatically charges an 18% tip. No wonder she was so bad; she knew she'd get paid no matter what. Our chef also had no personality. He didn't talk to us at all. You pay for hibachi to be entertained, but there was none of that. We got a big fire at the start and then a volcano, and that was it. The food was cheap, and what you charge for it should be against the law. You charge $32 for shrimp and steak, but the steak was super low quality, thin, and nasty. They cooked it medium-rare like I asked, but it was so cheap and thin that it was really chewy and tasted terrible. Same for the shrimp, chewy, overcooked, and cheap. This isn't the chef's fault, it's just bad food. I got so few vegetables, it's what I'd give to a baby. I also saw the cook put a bunch of butter on some shrimp, notice it was too much, and then put it back in the butter dish. What if the next table had a seafood allergy? That's really messed up. On top of all this, I saw a male waiter or busboy drop napkins on your dirty floor, pick them up, and then put them on top of clean plates. Speaking of plates, two people with us had dirty plates, and my fork was dirty too. This place is just terrible. Bad food, terrible service, and cheap stuff, but you charge prices like you're a fancy hibachi place. News flash: you're not, and I don't care who gets mad about me saying that. Train your staff better, and buy better food. Also, if you don't have housekeepers, you need them, and if you do, they should be fired. A health inspector needs to come here ASAP. Again, don't believe those 5-star reviews; they're total lies. And those celebrity pictures on the wall should be taken down—they're dusty and old. No way those people would come here now. DO BETTER.
UPDATE: I now see TWO transactions from them!! I’ll be coming up tomorrow to discuss!! This is ridiculous!! Yall think people don’t check there bank statements? I wonder how often they do...
Read moreWe have been to this restaurant a handful of times, and most times it has been an enjoyable experience. The food is good, typically the service is decent, and there is usually a good show from the cook. The show is part of what you pay for when you come to a place like this with 5 kids. Tonight, however, we did not get any bot of a show from our cook. I had asked for a few accommodations to our meals. Between the 7 of us, we split 4 meals. I asked him for how we needed things made and divided before he even started cooking. I still had to walk around and make sure everything went on the correct plates. And I had to cancel the side order of tempura because we were all done before it was ever even close to ready. For 4 meals (1 adult, 3 kids), 4 kids drinks, and 3 adult beverages they charged us over $175 plus the added tip. They also charged us for a party of 8 instead of 7 which made the tip even more. I understand the prices when service is adequate. You pay that price for the experience. If we didn't want the experience, we would have ordered take out, or eaten somewhere else. But what was really frustrating was the response from who we assumed are the owners. All we got was "sorry, we are busy." Nothing at all to make up for the lack of service/experience. I understand they were busy... it is mothers day. But every other cook gave an amazing show, and my kids had to watch from afar waiting for our turn that never came, and nobody even cared! I am just so frustrated that nobody cared the slightest bit. We waited a decent amount of time to enjoy the experience, and...
Read moreFood was okay. Steak was tough and chewy but decent. Everything else was stellar. You win some you lose some.
My issue was with the servers. Full disclosure, we walked in the door at 2 and they close at 230. I get it, trust me I do but you close at two so why should I expect service to be any different than coming right at opening time.
That said, our waitress was extremely rude. She was very short and in the beginning I couldn't hold it against her. It is what it is. We order as fast as we can and say please and thank you often.
Well when it's time to go she asks the people at the other end of the table (hibachi) if they are separate or together. She leaves without asking us. So the next time I see her she has the checks and I ask of ours can be split. She literally rolls her eyes. I'm not even kidding or exaggerating. She rolled her eyes and sighed. Goes to her manager and obviously complains. Then the manager comes (obviously expecting a problem) and says we will split it. Well why didn't she ask us like the ladies on the other end if we were same check or not. Never mind our meals are roughly 13 bucks different.
I wouldn't recommend this place truthfully based on the service. The food is decent but I'm sure you can find an establishment with better servers for the same...
