Las Islas Marias Mariscos — Restaurant in Palmdale

We had a great experience here years ago and finally made it back. My family and I were so disappointed. We expected the prices to be higher due to all the inflation. The food quality and flavor did not match the prices, though. Like not even close. The carne asada plate with shrimp was not worth it. The rice tasted like "minute" rice. The steak was barely seasoned. The shrimp were not even deveined and overcooked. To the point where the texture was very off-putting. The piña rellena was very sad looking. It looked and tasted nothing like it did before. Again, the shrimp weren't deveined. The peppers were diced so small (not like pictured online). The sauce was very watery. I'm sure there are some very tasty dishes available, but for the prices they are charging, everything should be on point. The service was the bare minimum, and we were the only ones there. I don't mind spending money on going out, but I expect tasty food and good service. I don't think that's too much to expect from restaurants who want our hard...

I saw this place on yelp, the pictures of the food looked mouth watering. In my experience, the pictures often, look better than they taste. That was definitely NOT my experience here. I had the caldo siete mares and....i cant remember what the other dish was called🤦🏼‍♀️, it was served in a pinapple in a amazing creamy, cheesy sauce. The soup was awsome, amazing aromatic broth with plenty of quality seafood. The pinapple dish was freakin glorious!...my mouth is watering thinking about it even months later. If i had to choose a word to describe their food it would be decedent. This place absolutely does not skimp on their seafood, you absolutely get your moneys worth, and i dont think that can be said for most seafood restaurants. The only thing i could complain about, is that the sevice was a liitle lacking, but there were only two waitresses and it was VERY busy. I belive they did the best they could so im not going to hold it against them. I would 100% recommend...

The service in this place isn't very good. The waitress never came back to see how we were doing after she brought our seviches, when we finished eating I asked her if our order of oysters was ready witch we ordered first. With a bad attitude she replied "you will get your food when the kitchen makes it I can't go inside the kitchen" so I told her just bring me the check cancel the oysters..... Its not over....lol..... Then she brought the check but left us waiting for the transaction. After a while another customer went to the front desk and then to the kitchen to asked if someone could ring him up. Some one came to help him and i stood in line behind him so i could pay and leave. I told the person in the front desk what had occurred and she shrugged her shoulders and stated she wasn't in charge. Very unprofessional, curt and bad...
