Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Palmer Township

I really love Rita's and this was the closest one. But every time I come, there is one worker that makes me regret coming. I don't know when the company policy changed and required workers to take the whole order in one go, but it's not working. Particularly with Khloe. I will give her my order or read off the order I'm grabbing for a friend and without fail, despite looking right at me, she needs me to repeat the order several times. And that's not including the several times she has to come back and ask for each part of the order. I get these are just kids trying to earn summer money, but dealing with Khloe several times has solidified that I'll be taking the extra time to go to the Stewartsville location, rather than the Palmer location. The ordering experience is just too frustrating. Management, let your employees use a note pad if they can't remember one...

Went in last night ordered 3 regular gelatis 2 with extra custard was told it would be an “additional charge “ no issue. Until the worker forgot to disclose that it would be an additional charge for the top and bottom and I proceed to pay $9 per gelati. When I asked for a receipt and addressed the 4 additional charges Emily proceeded to say that they do charge for top and bottom when asked why didn’t she make that specific when I was ordering she said “ because you sounded like you’ve ordered it before “ when asked why did she assume she said she didn’t assume. $5 at Rita’s doesn’t get us what it used to, just like $5 doesn’t anywhere but gargantuan wholesale retailer food courts. For this reason, I almost never go to Rita’s, and when I do, I opt for the gelato.

There’s something about finishing the ice cream on top then starting with the ice and then back to the ice cream that just does it for me. I used to get vanilla with the blue raspberry ice all the time when I was a kid.
