Adam, our server, was the highlight of the visit. His demeanor, level of service and care while we had lunch today was stellar. Adam was very knowledgeable about the menu when we asked questions and his service was stellar. Never an empty glass and professional level forethought to our add on needs like more, water, ketchup, etc....He made the trip worthwhile. So The Social is just "okay: (3 stars max) ...not a lot of atmosphere and the restaurant sits in the main area of the hotel lobby. There is no signage or direction that we could see as to 'where" to sit once we arrived (ie no hostess area) and no one around to give us directions. So we found a place to sit and then I went to the bar to let the only employee I could find know that we had a reservation but didn't know how to get service...(rez was through Open Table for 12:30pm)...The employee (didn't get her name) looked at me like she had no idea what I was talking about when I mentioned that we had a reservation for the restaurant (Social) and I mentioned that we didn't know if we needed to be seated by someone or if we could sit anywhere. It wasn't busy but we were looking for some organization, etc...She did not seem to know and said...let me get Adam... Adam was a godsend! We ordered the lobster grilled cheese and lobster bisque combo...( the grilled cheese was just so so...not much lobster filling inside, a half cup of bisque (that seemed a little too salty for my taste), I did like the bread...but it overpowered the sandwich in such a way that the lobster and cheese truly felt like an "afterthought") -all for $23.00 (oh and one side) - NOT a value and truly I may have enjoyed the burger more in retrospect. I will go back one more time to see what the burger is like. Note: It is NOT a place to take someone to impress them... The rooftop restaurant however has an amazing appeal...It is pricey and after my experience with the main lobby restaurant today I am concerned already about the quality of the food for this Bonvoy brand at Marriott. If you do eat at The Social...ask for Adam...he is why I gave this place 4 stars ...without him a "weak" 3" at best, would be my vote...Stay tune for my review after my next visit for a burger ....

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting the bar at the Marriott in Palmetto, and it was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the incredible service from Ryan. Not only is he a fantastic server, but he also brings an element of magic—literally! His tricks are mind-blowing and add such a fun, interactive touch to the evening.
Beyond the entertainment, Ryan is attentive, personable, and goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. His enthusiasm and skill make for an experience that’s more than just a night out—it’s a memory. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Ask for Ryan, enjoy the drinks, and prepare...
Read moreStopped by to try out The Social on our way home and we are so glad we did. The food was amazing, prices spot on, and served fast and fresh! But none of that compared to the exceptional service we received. Ryan, behind the bar, knows his stuff, very personable, funny, entertaining and a great bartender. It wasn't just him though, every employee greeted us with a smile, asked how we were, offered tours of the new hotel, and completely went out of their way to make us feel like royalty. Congrats, they have earned two new customers for life, can't wait to go back..... wait, it is only 7:45 and they close at...
