Our recent visit to Wendy's at this Palmetto, Florida location was what we have come to expect with most fast food locations. Get in and out fast and get food that is more or less just something to eat when you have little time to spend. With that being said our experience with this Wendy's will stay with us for a long time to come and all because of one thing. Her name is shown on her name tag as "Sunshine" and in every way she lives up to the name. We were in the restaurant for about twenty minutes and the entertainment we were able to enjoy because of the way "Sunshine" treated each customer was masterful. Every person that came to her counter was greeted warmly with terms of endearment that were sincere. As each customer walked away you could see that she had improved their day and it seemed many were repeat customers. So often these days counter workers in these establishments are so poorly trained or just don't care about anything other than making it through their shift and a paycheck. "Sunshine" is nothing at all like that. If upper management has not noticed the style she employees or has not made sure it is appreciated by all means please do so. Beyond that please make sure she is afforded every opportunity to grow and prosper with the company and by all means make sure she is put in a management role with the possibility of having her very own franchise one day. Read moreI had a very bad experience with this location today. I ordered food using a uber eats gift card I was given. I ordered it for pick up at the restaurant. When I arrived, I was pointed to a shelf where the food pickups are placed. There was one order on the shelf, and it wasn't mine. The woman at the counter told me that someone had picked up an order a few minutes ago. The employees gave me the attitude of "too bad, not our problem". I asked for the manager and the young man at the counter said the manager would not come to the counter. I told the young man that I wanted to talk to the manager now. The manager named John finally came to the counter. He tried to tell me he did not have the order. I showed him on my cell phone that the order was there. I then suggested that they gave my order to the other person and theirs was the one sitting on the shelf. I asked the manager to make my order again since I had already paid for it using the gift card, and he was paid for the food by uber eats. He refused, saying my order was not in his system. He was one of the rudest managers I have ever come across. I would advise people to NEVER go to this location if they can avoid it. The customer service is TERRIBLE. The manager was screaming and yelling at us when we complained that our chicken was over cooked and fries were under cooked, burger was disgusting & bacon was floppy & just plain disgusting, all of it. Diet Coke was even flat…. We brought our meal to have a nice picnic at Emerson Point down the road & opened up our food there. When we started eating, we couldn’t even eat any of our food. We went back to Wendy’s & asked for the manager he yelled “you should have checked your food before you left & you come back 2 hours later to complain!!! Nobody will give you money back if you try this scam again!” My mom & I were like “uhh we were here 45 mins ago & didn’t realize we should check our food before we left.” He just kept screaming at us literally the most unprofessional manager I have ever dealt with & I haven’t dealt with many because I’m usually not one to complain but I feel the need to on this experience because everyone needs to know how bad of an experience it was, will NEVER go to this Wendy’s again & now I’m hesitant to go to...
