I’ve been meaning to try out this place for a while now, due to logistics haven’t been able to swing by- that is until today. They have a big selection of soups! Tried the Crab Bisque, if you’ve have and enjoyed new england style lobster bisque- you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the creaminess delight, generous lumps of quality crabmeat. Each spoonful I had did not disappoint! The have a pretty good lunch menu, will definitely come back to try the sandwiches! Definitely recommend and will be returning!

I was in the area and decided to stop in at the Soup Bar—and wow, what a find! The building gives off a cozy small-town vibes. I ordered the grilled cheese and roasted tomato soup, and it was absolute perfection. The soup came out piping hot and bursting with flavor, perfectly complementing the crispy, golden grilled cheese. You can tell everything is made with care. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place is a must-try. Comfort food done right!

Had roasted tomato soup. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't delicious either. The real problem is, though, it is overpriced. Doesn't deserve $10. (They should update the menu here, btw, a bowl of soup is $10 (except crab bisque, which is $13) and crab cakes are $15 each.) However, the place was clean and the staff was nice. P.S. It was closed at 2:45 pm on a Thursday. They should change their hours too.

Did not hold up to the bar on which the video I dumb to catch took interest in checking this place out. For starters drove 44 minutes to get there on this rainy Wednesday which I and my 20 year old son with the day/night off from work both said It's a soup day let's go check out that You Tubers post of Palmyra's Soup Bar. We drove from Williamstown to this little spot you can easily pass by. The inside is extremely tiny not meant for multiple tables, its crammy. The front door was right at our side. The paper menu had the few soups in pints and quarts...no price or offering of a cup or bowl. I had to ask? It was $10 for a cup of bisque. Sorry that is rather pricey for not being a 4 star restraunt like Franklinville Inn or Mona Lissia's so I was not content. I asked for unsweetened tea but they had none. So I asked for water with lemon. No lemon no straw no ice just a tall plastic cup of water. My son got the same. We both agreed to share the crab cake grilled cheese sandwich that is currently priced at $18. The bisque came out def had to add pepper and salt to it but it was cooler than room temperature. Not impressed and I am not one to ask for anything to be nuked. So I get what I am being given. The bread came out well delighted at least it was toasty warm then Oh HELL NO besides it that bright yellow nightmare from my childhood that's a molecule away from being considered plastic....Margarine!!!! Yikes Eww Ughs...and probably the reason why what could of been a great outstanding sandwich like the Crabcake grilled cheese came out partially burnt...I saw another customer who came in and ordered the same had asked the server to let the cook know she wanted her's done on the light side. He said back it's from the grill and the butter. WAIT! WHAT!??? Nah homees you must be using that cheap margarine crap outta the tub and not any stick butter that good cooks and real Chefs use. Only real butter would burnt a grilled sandwich of any kind if ypu have the heat temp to high, you left it unattended or Your using that nasty margarine on it. At a total for 2 cups of bisque with one crab cake sandwich (we shared) total 38 plus tip $10=$48...no drinks no straws no to go left overs. It was a one time learning experience, these You Tubers must be getting paid to rave about places you should not be spooning or forking your hard earned money over. Go to places that have the ambiance, greet you like your a guest, and have you leaving feeling you made a right choice. That You Tuber Juniper owes this mom and son lunch out on him. Ps (to him ) I will...

I ordered a week in advance of Thanksgiving and was told to pick up my order on Nov 23 (my birthday) just after 2 pm. My brother and I arrived and were told they needed to make more “mashed potatoes”. We were asked to come back at 3:15. Once again we were told to come back in yet another hour…they still needed to make “ mashed potatoes”. Trays of food were everywhere and a woman suggested if we could take all the food and just come back for the mashed potatoes, the chef motioned “NO.” Once again, we left and came back at 4:15. As we walked inside, the same woman we had spoken to twice before looked as though she had never seen us. No greeting, no acknowledgement - all she said was “we are all out of food except for a tray of turkey and some gravy.” I immediately thought she was joking and questioned how this could happen?? How had other people gotten their food but yet we were inconvenienced all afternoon?? She went on about how they had lots of macaroni and cheese (which was NOT even on the menu nor was that what we wanted) Unbelievable.

I then realized her seriousness and tears began flowing down my face. I asked again and again- why and how was our food given away? Why weren’t we called? (instead of driving back and forth 3 times) to which she replied “I was too busy”. Not a way to run a business.

Other coworkers tried to apologize but it was useless at this point. I had people to cook for and finding out 2.5 hours after my scheduled pick up time they couldn’t provide was simply ridiculous. Instead of celebrating, I spent the night of my birthday food shopping and prepping for a meal that should’ve been delivered as promised.

To add to the chaos, while we questioned and argued- the chef was sitting down the entire time not saying a single word. No eye contact. No explanation. No apology. Nothing. This restaurant was so disorganized, unprofessional and disappointing, I will never return. So much for breaking a family tradition and trying to support small...

On a trip to visit my good friends in New Jersey that love to find new niche places to eat with us we stumbled into this diamond in the rough. Tucked away across the street from a school and with neighbors on both sides we pulled up on a cold and windy day to a small house converted into a restaurant. 5 tables and a wrap around bar that was used as a catering table for large orders (probably due to superbowl weekend) was the entire seating capacity. Chef Ed, Annie, and 2 helper/ servers were moving at a serious pace when we walked in and it was a endearing scene for me, a tired culinary professional, to see the chaos from front of house and see the mechanics of the operation on display. We took our time to piece together our orders between the four of us so we could maximize our tasting. We ended up with an impressive amount of delectable items. We tried all the bisque they offered: crab, lobster, and tomato, and eqch hit the approval of excellence. Followed quickly with the chili (OMFG GOOD), and the wild mushroom (Somehow the BEST). We then proceeded to order mains, crabcakes, a crabcake grilled cheese, and a patty melt for me. Every detail of.the plate was paid great attention to. The coleslaw was extremely fresh, the tartar was handmade and the crab cakes were made that morning and the taste reflected that love. The patty melt was exactly what I showed up for, caramelized onions over melt cheese with a hand smashed patty on sourdough rye. Fucking incredible. To the team at The Soup Bar. Keep it up, You're doing great and thank you for the...
