Horrible experience when I visited on 9/11! As I was pulling up to the drive-thru, I’m practically screaming to get someone’s attention to take my order. After about 2-3 minutes I just start ordering my food and I begin to see my order show up on the drive-thru screen so I already feel like I’m inconveniencing the employees inside since no one acknowledged me.
I finally pull up to the first window to pay receive the worst customer service ever! The cashier asks if I heard him SCREAMING out the drive-thru window that someone was wrong with the microphones on their headsets so I needed to pull forward to place my order. I apologized to the cashier and then asked why there wasn’t a sign at the drive-thru for that, to which he replied that I should pay more attention and snatched my debit card from me. He then proceeds to process my card wrong (swiping it even though it has a chip) and then tells me my card is declined and I need to give him a new one. I tell him he has to insert the card since it has a chip, to which he then processes it correctly, throws my card and my receipt back at me, and walks away from the register. The only reason I did not ask to see a manager or supervisor was there were at least 5 cars behind me in the drive-thru (all still unaware their headset microphones aren’t working) and I didn’t completely trust he would seek out a supervisor or manger for me after the way I was treated.
Once I got home, I found that they didn’t give me half of my order that I had paid for but because I was already home and too irritated by my experience I didn’t even try to go back and get the rest of my order; I instead went to the McDonald’s on El Camino Real in Mountain View who treated me with manners and got my order correct the first time.
Needless to say, I will never be returning to this specific McDonald’s ever again and I advise that you don’t either if you want good customer service and your...
Read moreThese people crushed it. I once was a terrible person who believed working in fast food meant that you had no other choice, or that you just took it as a side job. But the people on the morning crew here have got this dialed in. You can tell they take pride in what they do and they are great at it. My order was perfect (down to my request for extra mustard packets) This is one of those two lane Drive Throughs, so I usually accept the fact that during high traffic times. (9:30am on a Thursday) I may have a mistake on my order. I get it. But it was perfect. Secondly, I am so amazed at how friendly the staff was to me while still rushing through orders. The lady taking the orders and money at the first window was carrying on 2 conversations (Headset and me) and talking to someone about another order in the kitchen. And at NO time did I feel like she was dismissive. Instead she had a smile and made me feel like she wanted to make sure I knew my order was correct. Then at the second window the lady giving me my food greeted me with a smile. After getting my drinks I watched her walk all the way to the front counter with my bag and load it up with my special request mustard. (Usually I ask for extra mustard, at least 3 or 4 packets) and I end up with the two, again I get it, jobs can be auto-pilot sometimes. But this time I got 5. Perfect! With a smile! Thanks for starting my day off right. Not only did you help me, but you also put me in a good mood, which made all MY customers happy. Thanks McDs. Definately add this place as a good...
Read moreOkay. McDonald's it's been great on costumer service. They would give your order wrong and happens a lot at the drive thru mostly. This time i went in to have lunch there (forgot the location number but is the one on El Camino Real about 500ft East of Oregon/Page Mill Road in Palo Alto) and i was very impressed when the cashier said "please go have a seat and will bring the food to your table, here's your number". I know, I know... other places do that, but the fact a huge corporation such as McDonald's is trying to improve their "guest" experience, is a plus. They could be piloting this type of service at this restaurant as I have not seen it in any other McDonald's restaurant. Also the "Welcome Home" moto on the number you are given means a lot even though is a fast food restaurant. I have to given props for this and that is why I'm rating this location with 5 stars. Oh wait almost forgot while having lunch there a child behind me spilled his soda al over their table and on the floor, two minutes later a gentleman team member came in to clean it up!! Awesome!! Before, they would wait for you to leave to...
