I recently visited Driftwood Deli Market and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their sandwiches. Despite being a small market, they have an impressive selection of meats, cheeses, and toppings to choose from.

The staff was friendly and helpful in guiding me through their menu, and the sandwiches were made fresh to order. I ordered the roast beef sandwich with provolone cheese and all the fixings, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was toasted to perfection and the ingredients were all fresh and flavorful.

The atmosphere of the deli market was cozy and inviting, making for a pleasant lunch experience. Prices were also reasonable considering the quality of the food and the location.

We googled best sandwiches after watching a movie in Palo Alto and Driftwood popped up on the list and we decided to give it a try. The outside of the deli was rather understated and it belies the quality of the sandwiches. The high rating is well deserved, definitely some of the best sandwiches we have ever had. We ordered the pastrami/corned beef combo with Swiss cheese on rye (a classic NY creation that I am accustomed to); and a turkey, spinach & avocado on a toasted roll, absolutely delicious!! The iced mocha was made with high quality coffee bean and the chocolate flavor was intense and robust! Everything speak of quality! We were recommended this place by my boyfriend’s boss, we live in San Jose so we don’t typically go down around Mountain View or Palo Alto area. This deli was absolutely worth the drive! Very busy place, which I understand why. The workers were so kind and friendly, the nice gentleman taking my order recommended the customers favorite to me and it was the most delicious sandwich I’ve ever had. They had a lot of options for sandwiches, chips, drinks, and they even had an ice cream and coffee bar. I think the owner was the one checking out the customers, he was also super sweet to us!
