China House Restaurant — Restaurant in Palos Township

Terrible.. just terrible.. So I ordered 2 lunch specials which are 6 bucks each (12 total) and I also ordered 2 smoothies. My final total was $21. When I went to pick up my order the rude lady at the counter refused to believe that I ordered smoothies.. but how would my total be 21 for two 6 dollar specials. Right off the bat, customer service was bad. So I argued it back and eventually got what I originally ordered. BTW.. the smoothies had no flavor.

Then, I opened up the containers and the food looked great! But after eating for a few minutes I found a large bee at the bottom of my orange chicken...(boyfriend who was also eating this is very allergic to bees). Also, there was a piece of shrimp in my "chicken" egg roll. Good thing I cracked it open before I ate it.(not allergic, just hate shrimp). Now my boyfriend is back asking for a refund, but they are once again giving him a hard time. So moral of the story, I'm never going to eat there again, and honestly...

I would NEVER recommend anyone to go here. I'm sitting and waiting on my food and the lady DROPPED the egg roll on the floor when she took it from the fridge to cook it and looked up at me really fast to see if I noticed, then she proceeded around the corner to the cook. I told her I didn't want it and she said why, she couldn't return my money. I said ok, put it back on my card and she kept saying why so I had her call the manager, I guess her brother, all while the cook was yelling and speaking in his language. The manager returned and did the refund and as I walked out the man said, in broken English, f#%K you. I kept walking and will NEVER return to this place and wouldn't suggest anyone else either....

Great food, low price, clean restaurant, really nice crew, very fast delivery! I only gave four stars due to the following: When you order for dine in and make it clear that you want to eat there, your food is served warped in a bag like you should take it and leave rather than on a tray. If you don't want people to dine in, why have three booths? The quality of the plastic forks and paper plates is really low! Ive never seen plastic silverware that flimsy! The forks they provide bends with the weight of food! Please get some costco or sams club plastic forks instead!
