El Gallo De Oro — Restaurant in Palos Township

Food isn't fresh!!!!! It's PRE-MADE!!! They just reheat it..... I went in there a few days ago and ordered the steak burrito...... The menu it says it comes with fresh jalapeño and i told the cashier that I can't eat spicy and I don't want jalapeño........ She asked if I wanted regular bell peppers....I said yes! My steak burrito came...and as I bit into it i knew it had jalapeño......so I opened the burrito up...found no jalapeño and asked if there was sauce put in....she said no. I told her it's too spicy and I can't eat it.. and I asked her why is it so spicy...she said that the meat is pre-made with the jalapeño and she took all the jalapeño out and added bell pepper...I told her the menu says """fresh food""" and if they can make me another burrito that isn't spicy....she told me I have to pay for another one...even the cook told me the same thing.....I told them I didn't order jalapeño and it's their fault.....they said no........so I walked out and didn't pay for that burrito.....bad bad service....and since the food is pre-made.....I wonder how long it """sits""" there til someone orders it.....I wish I read the reviews before...

They don't even deserve one star. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THE COOK DOESNT EVEN WEAR GLOVES AND I DIDNT SEE HIM WASH HIS HANDS ONCE. Uses his bare hands over and over again to dip in the lettuce, onions, etc again and again. Worst business ethics I've ever experienced. I made sure they knew I wanted flour tortillas, I get home and find corn, so I go back. They say 10-15 minutes on the phone call, each time I get there 20 minutes later and they don't even start my order. Then they put a sauce with an open cap which spilled all over my car. I call back and ask for a manager and the girl refuses and tells me she doesn't know when the manager will be there then I ask her name and she stutters then asks my name without even telling me hers, the most infuriating restaurant worker ive ever experienced. AVOID AT...

Go to this place every weekend spend 60 to $70 every weekend tip the waiter 18% or more every weekend and he went berserk because I wanted to have an extra person come right before 3:00 am and he flipped out was cussing at me was rude to me I ain't never going back to that place again I would not recommend that place after hours the waiter is rude arrogant unprofessional has no business in that business and there was no management to report the complain about I go up there to talk to somebody who's in charge they all didn't want to deal with it they don't know nothing they don't want to have anything to do with it they don't know how to run a business I would not recommend this place at all I'm going to report them to the BBB, horrible horrible customer service the worst I've ever had...
