Jay's Drive Inn — Restaurant in Pampa

A humble little place where you can definitely get your money's worth in quality and quantity. For sure, some of the best burgers in town. They've got great fries, great tatter tots, and great deserts as well. This is truly a place that delivers great taste, effortlessly. Period.

My only take-away from my experiences is that every now and again, I've seen some issues with consistency. One day, I'll get either a patty that's not fresh or fries that's not fresh and it's just a little disappointing. They'll be happy to fix the issue, however cold food is the last thing to expect when you wait a reasonable amount of time for your order to be ready, assuming the food is always made-to-order. This place was insane. Me and a few friends pulled up to grab some dinner around 7pm while on a road trip to New Mexico. We ordered, and didn’t receive any food until around 7:40. At 7:40, they started to take our money, but the process alone of having 4 people pay for a couple burgers took an extra 15 minutes. Finally, after we’d wasted an hour of our time on the road, they informed us that they LOST the order information of a friend of ours (the literal first guy that ordered out of each of us), and they simply did not have food for him. Two stars just because the staff were so nice. We moved here a couple months ago and are trying a new place to eat everytime we go out and Jays drive in was on my list and im highly disappointed The burgers tasted funny the meat lacked flavor. The sweet tea was so sweet I couldn't even drink it I'm not a humming bird! The fried mushrooms were slimy and the tots with cheese soggy and the cheese was that nasty fake stuff from a bag.
