King Kong Milktea & Smoothie (Panama) — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

I was so excited about this place because I love boba and there’s nowhere else to get it in town. The first time I went my husband and I asked for our boba 50% sweet but mine was so sweet that I couldn’t drink it and my husband’s had no sugar in it at all. The boba was also mushy rather than chewy. We went a second time because growing pains are real and we believe in second chances, but it was worse the second time. It took 48 minutes from the time we walked in the door until we got our 3 drinks. The wintermelon tasted like sweet tea with milk, no other flavor, and the two others were varying amounts of sweet despite the fact that they were both ordered 75% sweet. The boba was still mushy. The reason for the wait was that the shop was busy but they then ran out of ice. This wasn’t communicated to anyone in the shop. My son heard them talking about it. One person left to go get ice and came back with several bags about 10 minutes later. I understand things happen, but communication and perhaps a discount card for a next visit is the least I would expect in this type of situation. We...

I was excited to see a boba tea spot in Panama City Beach, but unfortunately, my experiences here have been underwhelming. I've visited twice, and both times left me disappointed.

On my first visit, I ordered a pina colada smoothie, which tasted far from fresh. It was overly sugary, with an artificial flavor that made it hard to finish. On my second visit, I tried the boba tea with a friend, and the tapioca pearls were extremely overcooked. The milk teas we ordered weren’t appetizing either.

What made both visits worse was the uncomfortable atmosphere. The employee at the counter made us feel like we were an inconvenience. There was no warm welcome—just frustration when we took a moment to decide what to order. And the menu says “cold or hot” tea.. but apparently that wasn’t an option and we could only order cold tea.

I really wanted to love this place, but the overall experience from the service to the drinks just didn’t live up to expectations. I hope they can make improvements because a great boba spot in PCB...

This is possibly one of the WORST experiences my husband and I had. We entered the store at about 4:35 pm. There was one group waiting on drinks sitt8nf. Rhere were 2 young men in the store who did not greet us and made the most awful drinks. We left at 5:07 with our horrible tasting drinks. Had we known they tasted this horrible before we had gotten so far from the store we would have gone back. .I had a Caramel Frappuccino and my husband had a Coconut smoothie. The coffee drink tasted like I was drinking bitter medicine and the coconut drink was worse. Icy.The young man making the drinks looked inexperienced and the quality of the ingredients was lacking.
