Florida Watersports — Local services in Panama City Beach

Do not get reels spooled here. They may be great at other things but in the past 2 weeks, I've had 2 reels spooled and both were terrible. It was underwrapped all the way thru. Line would slough off when casting and be a tangled mess. Because of that the line would then snap. I lost 3 or 4 lures and who knows how many fish. Took it to another place to get it removed and respooled. Only then discovered that about halfway into it, the line was cut, but rather than tie it, more line was just wrapped over it to hold it. If I'd gotten a fish that would've pulled me very far, I would've literally run out of line just halfway thru my reel. There's no way he did that accidentally. Maybe I got the one dude who didn't know how to spool properly but he shouldn't be doing it if he doesn't know what he's doing, and he obviously doesn't. Between the wasted $30 on the line and $15-$20 on lost lures, I'm not a happy camper. I might still buy products from them but I will never get another reel spooled there ahs will not recommend anyone else...

Recently bought a kayak and I went in to purchase a paddle that I had my eye on from a previous visit. As I was walking through the store with it looking around for a dry box. I believe his name was Jeff, stopped me and asked me if I needed any help seeing he was the Kayak Gooroo. Then he looked up and saw that the paddle I picked out was damaged and switched it out for me. Being new to paddling in this area I asked him were would be some fun places to paddle. He directed me to the counter and pulled out all these nautical charts and we poured over them for 20 min. It was great. It wasn't just "hey yea go over there it will fun". He really took the time to show me were to go. And they have more fishing gear than you can shake a Kayak at. Great...

Never fished off the beach before. My son and I stopped in and the guys working there set us up with the equipment we needed and even set up the rod and lines for us. Gave us some basic info and we were out the door under $70. In 2 days we caught some smaller fish close to shore and out a bit further some bigger fish. The little spinner SHARK we brought in was a big time crowd pleaser on the beach. One of the best values for vacation memories I could imagine. Thanks to the guys...
