Slingshot and Vomatron PCB — Attraction in Florida

$60 for two kids— the buildup was not worth the ride. Literally. It was fast— not in the thrilling way— and, most importantly, the “gentleman” working the ride gave me and my 13 year daughter the absolute creeps. There was something off about him. He was rude in his response to me when I politely declined the expensive photos after the disappointing ride (we’ve been here many summers before— the rides used to be exhilarating, higher, and the whole experience longer)... but what REALLY was the nail in the coffin, the guy told my kids once they were back from their quick jaunt up and down that IF WE PAID TO RIDE AGAIN— THAT “THIS TIME” HE’D ACTUALLY SEND THEM UP “HIGHER AND FASTER” THAN THE RIDE THEY’D JUST EXPERIENCED... ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME?!?! $60 and you apparently DIDN’T give these paying, polite, happy customers the best you had?? What?? Well, my 13 and 16 year old — who have money of their own that they’ve been spending very generously while here on vacation— in addition to my money that bought the initial ride— declined politely and in shock the guy’s ignorant and crazily absurd attempt at a sales pitch to ride again... they got off and we left. Politely as we arrived. End note: the guy working the ride last night, 07/31/19, behaved stupidly and gave us the creeps— specifically my teen daughter who kept repeating over and over as we exited the park that he really weirded her out (mind you, he was the one strapping them in to their seats and handling the machinery as well as sending them up in the air)... Her response over and over as I pushed and questioned why he gave her the creeps, “I don’t know, he just did... something wasn’t right... he was creepy...” I told her to always trust he gut. And there you have it. Don’t go there. Don’t spend your money there— save it and go to the Vomitron mere feet away that was $10 less AND the gentleman there were warm, friendly— NOT creepy— and gave my kids the best ride ever— AND we bought the second trip that they offered for $20 off. The ride there was long— exhilarating— and we left lighter in our pockets but fuller in our photo roll on our phones and lots of laughter and memories to boot. That was a ride worth the hefty price tag. The Slingshot— no, no, a thousand times no. Don’t go. And, apparently, they aren’t even giving people the best experience the first go-round, they’ll offer that if you buy the second ride after the first $60 spent for two kids. Wow. Wow. And fire...

If you're looking for a great time with the kids or as a couple, I highly recommend this place!! I took my 11 year old son here after reading countless negative reviews of other go-kart places near PCB. We had an absolute blast on their track. It is a Kidney shaped track, and the karts are Honda powered gas burners that allow you to keep your speed up around the entire track. It is not the biggest track, but you get 25 laps to compete with your family. The staff do a great job keeping everyone together, and they don't interfere with minor accidental bumps. Keep in mind that this is a family friendly atmosphere! Just be kind and courteous and have fun!!

We also bought our Slingshot tickets at the same time we bought our go-kart tickets. My son has a lifetime of memories just from doing the slingshot and karts! I have bragging rights because I was like Richard Petty going around the track, and he has something to give me grief about since I was nearly in tears from the slingshot. I honestly can't tell you if they were tears of fear or if they were from laughing uncontrollably. We are very happy that we reviewed other karting places in the PCB area, and we are very happy that we chose the Vomatron, Slingshot, and go-kart facility to have some fun!!! This review should count as two 5 star reviews. It was absolutely incredible, and just seeing my son belly laughing and non-stop smiling...

ETA after business left review - we asked before we upgraded, “if we upgrade , will this be posted on Facebook. We was told YES by the female . Upon reading yelp reviews, I see it is a common issue for y’all to scam money…. Do better and have an honest business. We also videoed our interaction with the workers , and have proof of the interaction. Dishonest and money hungry . “Feel free to stop by again.” We was told to leave and not return when we asked for a manager.

We purchased the cheaper package , watched our video , then asked if we could get the larger package so they would post on Facebook. Once purchased we noticed our video not on Facebook, we asked and was told it was because someone passed out . I then pulled up MULTIPLE videos on THEIR Facebook of people passing out and showed them , they said it was from last month . Refused a refund for the larger package , and refused to let us speak to a manager. False...
