Burger King — Restaurant in Panama City

I went to this burger king store 11693 on 12-4-23 to get a very simple order small ff and whopper Jr w cheese no onion. The fries were perfect but the burger was so cold seriously that it was like someone had it in the fridge first, bun was so stale it was unchewable, lettuce wilted and brown (the texture was that of wet paper uh yuck) and the tomato was on the patty with ice cold cheese on top of the tomato. I tried to eat it really I did, first bite was so gross and I foolishly thought it's the bun, so I removed top bun, another small bite same gross-Ness, removed bottom bun and I truly didn't think it could be worse but boy was I misguided. The patty itself smelled old and really wierd needless to say I spit that bite out and thought well I guess I will just be hungry and was going to let it go but my body decided much later that I was a dumb@#! for even trying to eat it so here I sit at 11pm (ate it at around 1045 am) sick and miserable. Wow way to ruin my most favorite burger in the world BK. The staff was so polite, genuinely nice, cheerful and just great people at the 2 drive thru windows, but the District Mgr that's not checking up on freshness and allowing food below dumpster diving food quality to be served shame on you or shame on corporate for giving you more stores than you could possibly check up on. Again the two ladies that I dealt with I would try to eat there again just bc they are so great and nice, wish I knew thier names. But I deserve free food for life that was so bad, I mean I do not exaggerate saying these things I was amazed that you could pay someone and get food that horrible. Again ty a million times BK for ripping me off.... with this economy I can only afford to eat 1 time a day and had to eat out bc I had Dr appts. But if someone is looking for a good way to throw away 8 dollars please visit this BK, at least the front line ladies will make you feel good with all of thier feel good attitude and warmth, again THEY ARE GREAT and the best part of the visit. If every Burger King could get their act together like this location has . . . .Burger King would have a much better reputation. This store has a pretty diverse crew. Each shift I have dealt with for various meals throughout their business hours has been a nice mix of male and female, white, black, and Hispanic workers. ALL have been professionally and EVEN GOLD OLD FASHIONED FRIENDLY! What a difference!!! They all speak English and you can understand them when ordering and when paying or picking up the food.

I know this location (15th Street & Lisenby Street) is under fairly new management and is a fairly newly remodeled store done so because of damage done from Hurricane Michael. However, there is a brand spanking new BK store in Callaway and it's not even in the same Galaxy as this store.

My order is ALWAYS CORRECT, they always put everything in the bag. I have only had to go inside for my order being shorted something (1) time. And it was an honest misunderstanding on the cooks part. But they were absolutely professional about it. They made it right, did so with a smile and offered to be me a complete new order because of it. Talk about a breath of fresh air! I politely declined and told them the drinks and fries and other burgers were all correct so there was no need to replace those. I just needed the plain Cheeseburger to have its cheese put on and it was a wrap!

There is now a black lady that seems to be late 30's to early 40's that works the drive thru orders going out. Not sure if she is the manager or not, I've honestly haven't had any reason to ask. But she's a very dedicated employee. She checks and double checks before the order ever leaves her hands. If it's not right, she doesn't hand it to you. If she's not the manager, BK better treat her right and keep her around because I will wait and drive past the other Burger Kings and order at her store because of the friendly staff, CLEAN STORE, and my food is always right and tastes good! I have always enjoyed a whopper sandwich from time to time. However, you need to find another location to try one at this place. The staff told me they were out of ice,but they did not realize that without ice in the despenser all the sodas would be hot and flat(no carbonation) the manager or the supposed "corporate" person there had zero working knowledge of their own equipment! Besides the hot flat soda that they were happily charging people for, the whopper itself was very bad. The bun was so old and dried out it was flaky and falling apart. It was absolutely the worst whopper I have ever had. The meat Patty was cold and hard. The fries were ice cold and raw in the middle. I took one bite and put everything in the garbage! I decided to call the manager, she was very apologetic and did agree to refund my purchase,but only if I returned then. Upon return I witnessed 6 other people inside experiencing the same thing I did. Flat and hot sodas, and they were out of certain buns and were having to offer customers different options. After a lengthy wait I was confronted by a lady that did not identify herself but stated she was "corporate" and that she was married to the "President of Burger King!" I was so impressed that the wife of the president of the company was taking the time to work at that location and help me! She was very rude and purposely short and truly made me out to be the bad guy for complaining about the food quality. I would think as the wife of rhe president of Burger King she would be more concerned with customer service! While I was waiting for the "corporate" or manager lady to make time for me I also witnessed numerous food handling issues by the food preparation person as well. I would avoid this location...
