My daughter and I visited this store two days ago. We were looking for items for a tea party for girls. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a look as if why are you here? by the woman behind the counter. Then, the owner came over and asked if she could help us. As I began to explain to her that we were looking for items for a tea for girl's from 6th -12th grade that I was doing and we're looking to purchase items for it and we have gotten donations...she cut me off and said "I can't just give you these peoples things." I responded by telling her that I never asked her for a donation. She said, " Oh, because I can't give you these peoples things because I consign them." Still not allowing me to explain what I was going to say had she not cut me off and that is that I was donating, and received donations from others and would be purchasing the items I'm looking for with our donations. I had to outright tell her that I have money and can pay for what I want. She insinuatied again that I was looking for someone to give me something. She definitely had the wrong one. I am the giver...I never look to be the reciever. I love blessing others. That is why I was in her store to be a blessing to young girls in our community. The tea I am doing is free to any girl in the community that wishes to attend. I left there with my 21 year old daughter feeling so angry and heartbroken at the same time because my child had to witness being discriminated against in 2024. The lady that worked there blatantly showed it. She turned her back to us when we walked in and when we left out. The owner got friendlier after I told her a bit about myself. I don't think any of the other customers in the store had to go through all of that to get friendly service. I will never shop here again and will tell others that I know to do the same. I am praying for this country. I can get over ignorance concerning me, but you will not discriminate against my child, and I don't share the horrible experience I had at your business. It's 2024...Get over the ignorance. Yes, we are all the same (outside of those who treat people differently because of race, or differences), and all races of people enjoy the same things. God is love.ā¤ļø If you don't have love for all people there is no spirit of God in you, and you should not go into business. There is definitely a law that states if you do you cannot discriminate. I'm praying for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to visit this store when it was located in Panama City's historic downtown. I love the new location. It is HUGE!! It goes on for days!! A real treasure hunt!! We had a blast visiting!! Some items are very reasonable in price and some not so much. Depends on the vendor booth. Just gotta keep your eyes peeled for something spectacular at within budget price. And, they do have mark down sales.
My only complaint is that there's spaces that can be very tight and cramped which I can deal with. However, I encountered some very impatient and rude customers who could not wait their turn to look at the items. They continuously encroached my personal space and got all up in my grill. It's like, dude! Wait your turn!
Overall, our visit was lots of fun and we saw so many...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery friendly folks! This place was by far the highlight of our thrifting/antiquing for the day. The store was clean. There are lots of stalls that are packed full of goodies.
This place like many antique stores doesnāt take into account that thin isles and over packed stalls make it hard to get around when you have a walker. Because Iām not as steady as I once was I do a lot of glancing. My other half who is able to actually go into the stalls lets me know when thereās something interesting. Depending on my response heāll bring it to me to look at.
We did find some goodies to take home with us.
When in the area weād...
