I was told by several people to go and try their chicken salad sandwich. So I finally stopped in on my way home, ordered a chicken salad sandwich it comes with a pickle and chips. I do the eat chips or fries so I asked if I could get something else. She stated I could for a small upcharge and showed me a pasta salad. I agreed to the mayo based pasta salad and she asked me to wait while she made it. They were not busy, but steady. So it took a few minutes which was fine. I was glancing g through the cases where I happen to see some brownies...I like my brownies fudge like and no extras in it..takes away from the brownie š. So she came out and grabbed my brownie and my bag of sandwich items. Oh...be prepared a large drink is only a medium cup....also the only prices that were disclosed was the sandwich which is 12.95 for sandwich, pickle and chips Anyways, I go to pay and she rings it up and tells me 28.96 š³š³ I asked for WHAT ?? She just looked at me. I paid, praying that this was the best damn sandwich EVER..and she reminded me that I could leave a tip above where I signed š³š³š³ I get in the car open the sandwich as I am sitting at the light hoping it's FABULOUS š ..um booo..nope. the bread which they make daily she said..is soft..the tomatoes are not ripe..toss..lettus is brown edged..toss..now it's salad and sourdough.. bite...uggg...Remember potted meat?? Gritty and wierd..yeah..that's what it tastes like chicken potted meat...I was expecting like a shredded or chopped chicken sald..NOPE. I could not wash my mouth out fast enough š no flavor and gritty. Floppy wilted pickle...pasta salad with massive chunks of tomatoes that are not close to ripe and hard. Basically not a great experience all around. Oh and the brownie..definitely good... I am supposing I paid 28.95 plus tip for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI go to this deli often, normally everything is really good and the people are very friendly, which is why I return, but after today, I wont be returning! I got biscuits and gravy and I literally took one bite out of it and could not eat anymore because it had to much pepper for me. The lady came and got my plate, asked me if I wanted a box, I told her no, that I was unable to eat it because it was too peppery. She agreeed that their biscuits and gravy, were in fact very peppery...even to her. But, sge still offered no apology. She didn't ask me if I wanted something else to replace it, a refund for that item, or even a coupon for a future visit. Instead I paid full price for an item that I literally took a single bite from. Thats very disappointing, considering how much I go there. I could understand if I had even eaten a 1/4 of it, but I didn't. Sadly, I won't return. I have never had an issue here or complained before. I disagree with how this was handled, it makes me very leary of returning. I don't like spending money and getting nothing I am able to eat in return. I don't have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting Cahallās Deli twice recently, thanks to a generous gift from Miss Jennifer, Pastor Steveās assistant at Emerald Coast Fellowship. On both visits, I ordered the chicken salad a standout item thatās fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned also the Angus burger very juicy, well-cooked, & satisfying ! The service at Cahallās is top-notch. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and the environment is very clean which made the entire experience comforting. As someone living with keratoconus, a condition that affects my vision, it takes me a little longer to read menus. While I did feel slightly rushed when ordering, I donāt believe it was intentional. The staff seemed eager to serve and keep things flowing, which I appreciate.. it came from a place of good service, not impatience.
Overall, Cahallās Deli is a wonderful local spot with excellent food, warm people, and a clear heart for the community. Iāll definitely be back, and Iām so thankful to have been introduced to such a flavorful and...
