UPDATE 7.21.2024: I was told to go in and ask for the manager after this review. I did, I met with her, she apologized and told me they were sending me a gift card (I never asked or expected this). To this day, I have never received anything. Don't promise something and not follow through.
I had never been to O'Charley's prior to this. I ordered the Chicken Tender Nachos through their app for a pickup at the Panama City, Florida location on 23rd.
The appetizer was "O’Charley’s Famous Chicken Tenders, chopped and on top of warm tortilla chips and queso, with shredded Cheddar, Pico de Gallo, and fresh jalapenos. Drizzled with our special smokey honey BBQ and topped with chopped cilantro."
The food was ready almost as quickly as pulling into the pick-up space and was brought out by a friendly customer rep who was very nice.
After that, it all went South. I only live five minutes away so I returned home quickly. I found the Nachos in the bag, along with two rolls, utensils, and pico, honey BBQ, and queso were in small containers. The pico was nice, but the other two were pretty thin and watery.
The chips to toppings ratio was way off and not in favor of the toppings. The chips themselves were cold and the taste and crunch (or lack thereof) made me think these had been sitting out in the open air for a good long time. Almost stale. It made me think they are from a bag and not freshly made. The small amount of chicken tender squares were cold and chewy. The queso, shredded cheese, pico, and jalapenos were all acounted for. The rolls were cold and had a slight sweetness to them. They were okay.
I was really dissappointed in this item's quality and the price of $12.99 for it is outragious. The Nachos Supreme from Taco Bell is better than what I received today. That is seriously not hyperbole.
First impressions are everything. Service was great, food was bad. I'm giving it two stars only because of the fast, friendly service. Otherwise, it would have...
Read moreMy recent visit to O’Charley’s was truly delightful, and our meal was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. The restaurant offered a welcoming ambiance, and the staff was both attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience.
For my meal, I chose the fried chicken salad. This dish was made fresh, and the quality was immediately evident in every bite. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, perfectly complementing the fresh greens and vegetables in the salad. The portion size was generous, and the dressing was well-balanced, adding just the right amount of flavor without overpowering the other ingredients. It was a refreshing and satisfying choice that I would definitely order again.
My dining companion opted for the steak pasta, which was another highlight of our meal. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the steak was tender and flavorful. The combination of the rich, savory sauce with the well-seasoned steak created a harmonious blend of flavors that was truly enjoyable. The freshness of the ingredients was apparent, and it made for a delicious and hearty dish.
One of the standout items at O’Charley’s is their rolls, which are nothing short of excellent. Warm, soft, and slightly sweet, they are the perfect accompaniment to any meal. We also tried the fried cheese wedges, a unique offering that I highly recommend. These spicy wedges are crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, providing a delightful contrast of textures. The spice level was just right, adding a nice kick without being overwhelming.
In conclusion, our dining experience at O’Charley’s was fantastic. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Whether you're in the mood for a fresh salad, a hearty pasta dish, or something uniquely delightful like the fried cheese wedges, O’Charley’s is sure to impress. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a...
Read moreRacist vibes... Arrived at 4:30 with my boyfriend and his family. (5 top) his family being Hispanic and I an Asian American. We were seated at the back of the restaurant in a dark corner where the light above our table was flickering. We even passed several empty tables yet we were seated at one with missing silverware and near no other persons. We all looked through the menu and were ready to order yet no one came up to take our order, even for drinks, for a good 20 mins. Eventually a staff member passed by and asked if we've been helped yet, and when we said no she said she'd find someone to help. We saw here talking to a server in the nearest section to us but it seemed like she didn't want to serve us. Eventually a gentleman came over and took our order. He was very nice and apologetic however we noticed that he was serving tables in a completely different section. We waited close to an hour for our food. My boyfriend's father had even gotten up to speak with a manager about the wait and eventually a woman came to the table and said she'll figure it out. She gave us our food but we received no apology on the inconvenience. The food was adequate, definitely not worth the wait at all. It was our first time here and probably the last. Throughout our time here my boyfriend and his family kept trying to get the attention of the staff and were completely ignored. Our waiter that wasn't supposed to be our waiter was very pleasant yet the rest of the staff made us feel unwelcomed. We were a table of English speaking American citizens, that have been living in the US for years and are even American born as well as a Veteran. We felt profiled for wanting to eat out, which has been especially difficult due to the circumstances of the Hurricane Micahel aftermath. 100% would not recommend eating here, regardless of the color...
