On average, service is friendly and efficient, until myself and 2of my friends went about 45 min before closing timeđThe gentlemen who sat us and took our drink order was undeniably disturbed at our arrival and made that quite clear. There were three of us and 2 of us did not even want to proceed any further and just leave because our imaginations got the best of us as to what may or may not happen to our orders prior to our table. Not saying this happens here but I am positive what he yelled for all to hear from our table to the back of the restaurant, were words we were glad spoken in another language. The guy was livid! Our more assertive friend of the 3 insisted we stay, he wanted to challenge this situation and stay, and to not show our fear so reluctantly we just sat there. Our Hibachi Chef arrived smiling at is sarcastically obviously disturbed like his coworker but contained most of it the best way he could. Our server returned with our drinks still ranting away, and he had put ice in one of the drinks that wasn't suppose to have any, and just as my friend started to let him know I kindly stomped on his foot and elbowed him to take it anyway. Our more assertive friend notices unfortunately and says something about the drink and asks if he could fix it...the whole restaraunt got quiet and we all sat staring at one another waiting for God knows what kind of meltdown...that's when I quickly excused myself out headed to the doors to avoid whatever went down. Came in a few minutes later to find peas and little pieces of food on the floor. The Chef already had a pea waiting for me as I sat and was ready to fire. I said ah and he tricked me and flung a piece of shrimp instead..which was a nice gesture vs a pea but I am highly allergic to shell fish. Thankfully after chewing a few times I realized what it was and spit it out, and lucky for me no hives, or epi pen usageđthat was enough for my friend and he walked out to the car, I got a case of the giggles and couldn't stop laughing because the whole situation was just so crazy and intense, our more serious friend actually laughed for the first time in his life I think... think catching a case of the giggles...He ate his while I boxed up mine and our other friend's food. That psycho server stood over in a darker area of the restaraunt glaring creepily at us which caused me to laugh even more uncontrollably, as we walked out the door. I still tipped well over what I probably should have but to me I needed that laugh it had been a long time...My friend in the backseat complained all the way home, still does if he hears the word Tokyo, our more serious friend and I couldn't stop laughing all the way home. To this day this is the only time he laughs, to when I bring up that night in Tokyo. I left a lot of in between out where the psycho server made a scene walking back and forth cleaning tables and pushing a cart full of dishes continuing to rant to himself, making this one of those "You had to be there" situations I suppose, or maybe you shouldn't đ¤..Its a decent place as I said, just be weary of you go late, and watch out for the...
Read moreCame in for dinner at 7:15, had called ahead for a party of 7 saying that we were coming and were told they couldnât promise a table would be ready when we got there so were prepared to wait a little bit, as any large party does at a hibachi restaurant. We arrive just before 7:15 and are told that there are multiple parties ahead of us which is fine. 7:30 rolls around and they call our party up. We go up to the host stand to be seated and are told that we are just NEXT in line and that a table isnât actually ready yet, a little frustrating, but no big problem. 10 minutes later, 3 large parties are sat, thatâs funny I thought we were next in line. Was starting to get very mad at this point because the hostess(who turns out to barely be competent at her job) said our party was next. We wait for 1 whole hour before we are called up to be sat, at this time two of our party members had to leave, a nice dinner of friends on a spring break trip, and all the dumb hostess can tell us is âCurrently all the tables are occupied but we promise you are nextâ. We are pretty heated at this point waiting for over an hour after being told we are seated next and 2 of our party members leaving. We sit down and our server is very welcoming. After taking our orders the hibachi chef takes 45 minutes⌠to come out after the server had left us. Hibachi chef was okay, made many mistakes with who ordered what and our medium rare steak was cooked medium to medium-well. The vegetables were undercooked and the shrimp appetizer not close to par compared to other hibachi steakhouses. We ended up spending over 3 hours, over an hour of which was waiting after being told âyou are the next partyâ. Overall would not recommend, staff is very poorly organized and are unable to tell customers direct answers, sub par hibachi chef, and sub par food, not to mention the white sauce was just not good at all. The only compliment I can give is that the server was exceptional considering we barely enjoyed our time because the front of house staff was so airheaded. 2/10 will not be...
Read moreI usually donât make reviews, but today we had a very bad time in this restaurant.
We went there with some friends to have some dinner, we choose the hibachi (it was our second time eating here)
We went with our 4yo son and he wasnât enjoying the show too much since the beginning. The thing is that the âchefâ throw each person a piece of broccoli as a part of the show, it was fun until he throw a piece to my son (who wasnât even watching the show) the first piece just went over his head, he even noticed, the second piece went to his neck and he start crying, we remove the piece of broccoli and it was HOT
not enough with that, he saw our son crying and saw me taking off the hot piece of broccoli from his neck, then he followed with the show right away, throwing up two piece of broccoli into my hair
thereâs a plus, my son now has a mark on his neck thanks to that irresponsible âchefâ
is a really small one btw, but he has a bubble now just for a small piece of broccoli, funny eh?
The worst part is that he obviously saw everything and even say âiâm sorryâ he just keep making the show (throwing up two pieces to my hair like I said before)
We talk with the manager and she just told us that how can a piece of broccoli make a burn if the give it cold to the costumers, we told her that the piece of broccoli was like a minute on the grill and that was enough hot to make a burn to a kid.
She just give us a $15 gift card, funny because you canât buy a plate with that amount of money
Also funny because we are not coming back to this restaurant
The food was ok, the rice a little salty, the chef, thereâs some good ones, but our âchefâ today was just awful, he even didnât talk to us and he burn my child, and I think thatâs enough for a mom.
Btw, we paid $125 for that, the...
