Usta Kababgy offers a delightful culinary journey with its unique blend of Lebanese and Moroccan influences, creating an atmosphere that is both elegant and inviting. From the moment you step in, the decor transports you to a vibrant, exotic locale. The rich tapestries, intricate tile work, and warm lighting all contribute to a truly immersive dining experience. The service at Usta Kababgy is exemplary. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making you feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout your meal. They are happy to guide you through the menu and offer recommendations, enhancing the overall dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food – it's simply amazing. We started our meal with a comforting and flavorful lentil soup, a perfect prelude to the feast that followed. The hummus was incredibly creamy and rich, easily some of the best I've tasted, showcasing the fresh ingredients and authentic preparation. For our main courses, the lamb chops were a standout – perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The mixed kabab plate was equally impressive, offering a delicious variety of perfectly grilled meats, each succulent and well-seasoned. Every dish spoke volumes about the kitchen's dedication to authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. The restaurant also boasts an incredible music selection, which perfectly complements the ambiance. The curated playlist enhances the overall experience, adding another layer of authenticity and enjoyment to your visit. However, there was one minor point that could be improved upon: the juice blender. While it's great to know they offer fresh juices, the blender is quite loud and its prominent placement in the dining area can disrupt the otherwise serene and enjoyable atmosphere. Moving it to the back kitchen would significantly enhance the overall tranquility for diners and allow them to fully appreciate the wonderful music and conversation. Despite this small observation, Usta Kababgy is a true gem. With its captivating decor, exceptional service, and truly outstanding food, it's a restaurant that promises a memorable and delicious experience. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking an authentic and delightful Lebanese and Moroccan...
Read moreI had heard so much about this place that I had to try it for myself! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and got to choose our table. The ambiance was Mediterranean with a strong Moroccan vibe—fresh, elegant, and full of character. The details were impeccable, from the chairs and tables, which looked custom-made, to the colorful couches, lamps, and the beautiful fountain in the center. Here’s what we ordered:
• Harira Soup: I was excited to try this, but it seemed to be missing something. The menu mentioned chickpeas and vermicelli noodles, but I didn’t spot any. The flavor was quite bland and could have used more seasoning and love. • Eggplant Salad: This was sweet, with fried eggplant, colorful bell peppers, and tomatoes—possibly ketchup? It was served cold, which I wasn’t expecting. However, it came with Arabic tanoor bread, which was absolutely delicious. • Kofta Kabab: A standout dish! The beef was flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the small salad and hummus on the side were both delightful. It was a well-balanced and satisfying plate. • Beef Tagine: This dish arrived steaming hot, which was a nice touch. The sizzling presentation was great, but there was no juice left in the tagine. It was served with basmati rice instead of Moroccan couscous, which was a letdown. Also, I missed the traditional carrots and vegetables. That said, the meat was tender and flavorful, and I loved the dried apricots, prunes, and toasted almonds. With a bit more juice, vegetables, and couscous, this could have been an outstanding dish!
While the waiter was friendly, she kept asking, “that's enough food”—which I found unnecessary. I came to try as much as I could, and I prefer to make my own decisions about what to order! On a positive note, I absolutely loved the colorful serving plates and the hot tea—it was fantastic! I know this place is still new (just two months in business), and I’m confident they’ll keep improving. Thank you for the delicious experience. I’ll definitely be back soon to explore more...
Read moreAbsolutely phenomenal experience at Usta Kababgy Mediterranean Restaurant — this place is a true hidden gem that delivers both in flavor and hospitality.
From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that instantly sets the tone for an incredible dining experience. The service is top-tier — attentive, kind, and genuinely committed to making sure you enjoy every part of your meal. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the staff makes you feel like family, but Usta Kababgy absolutely nails it.
Now let’s talk about the food, which is where this place truly shines. Everything we ordered was bursting with authentic Mediterranean flavor and cooked to perfection. The bread is a standout — pillowy soft, fresh out of the oven, and the perfect companion to their creamy, well-seasoned hummus. It’s honestly some of the best hummus we’ve had — rich, smooth, and packed with flavor.
The beef tajine deserves its own spotlight. Tender, juicy meat that practically melts in your mouth, slow-cooked in a sauce so aromatic and rich it could be a dish on its own. It’s comfort food elevated to a whole new level.
We also ordered the kabab platter, and wow — what a feast. The meats were expertly grilled, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly juicy. Every bite was packed with that smoky, chargrilled flavor that keeps you coming back for more. Pair it with their rice or salad and you’ve got a balanced, satisfying, and absolutely delicious meal.
What makes Usta Kababgy even more impressive is the value. For the portion sizes, quality of ingredients, and overall experience, it’s hands-down one of the best deals around. You get high-end taste and hospitality without the high-end price tag.
In short, Usta Kababgy is a restaurant you’ll find yourself coming back to again and again. Whether you’re a fan of Mediterranean cuisine or trying it for the first time, this spot will blow you away. Five stars across the board — highly...
