I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent experience at your NJ Nothing Bundt Cakes location on Rt. 17. On 8/5/2023, I purchased a large birthday cake from your store, with very nice decoration for my sonâs birthday celebration.
The cake was nicely decorated with clear cellophane and couldnât be placed in the box that it would typically come with. I needed the box to make it easier for storing any leftover cake in the refrigerator, as leaving the cake uncovered would alter its taste and quality.
When I politely asked the associate at the Rt. 17 location for the box that should have accompanied the cake, she refused, citing a policy that boxes are not given away without the purchase of an accompanying cake. I explained that I had indeed purchased the cake, but it was not provided in a box. Despite my explanation, the associate remained firm in her refusal to provide a box.
This policy baffles me, as it puts customers in a difficult position when trying to store their cake leftovers properly. I feel frustrated that I had no other option but to take the cake as is and find alternative methods for storage, jeopardizing the taste and texture of the cake.
As a loyal customer of Nothing Bundt Cakes, this experience has left me feeling dissatisfied with the service I received at the Rt. 17 location. I believe that customers who have purchased cakes should not face obstacles when requesting a box that is typically part of the purchase.
I kindly request that you review this policy and consider making adjustments to ensure customer satisfaction and ease of cake storage. I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope to see positive changes...

I love these cakes , I love the employees, I love the cute little shop but I had to come on her and lower my rating because I canât believe the wonât give u a spoon or a fork to eat your cake , the girl explained to me that they sell them due to them not being a fast food or restaurant type of shop itâs a pick up and go but hereâs the thing I completely understand on a business level yes selling little bundles of plates and forks napkins is great. But u can in her and picked up 2 dozen of the mini bunt cakes and then I also got one of the smaller personal cakes as I call them , I asked the girl for a spoon or fork so I can eat in the car and thatâs when she explained she couldnât provide me with one because the general manager or owner wants people to buy them. I understand on a business perspective but I wasnât asking forks and napkins to be provided for my party but for the personal cake I wanted to eat in my car đ so guess what fingers did the job but it sucks that they donât provide forks at least for the personal cakes that people buy. The last time I was here in June I just thought the girl forgot to put them in the bag but nope đââď¸ none are provided
June 2024 I have passed this place a few times and was always interested in trying them out. But then we had a birthday last week at work and my boss ordered a cake from here and I loved it 𼰠I needed more so todays my brothers birthday and I opted for pickup , the store looks beautiful as soon as you walk in and then you get hit with the amazing smells of all the fresh cakes delicious you can almost taste the shop lol Iâm so excited for my family to try their cakes đ canât wait to go...
Read moreIf you plan to visit the store in Paramus make sure you double and triple check your order and receipt. I told them I wanted a Turkey decoration for Thanksgiving. I even purchased extra feathers of gratitude (3 packs). The girl behind the counter wasn't exactly sure what she was doing so the manager came to assist with the order. In the middle of our order the manager left us and proceeded to help the customer behind us. I sent a family member to grab the cake. We opened the box on Thanksgiving and there were no decorations. My 8 y/o was upset because we were going to fill the Turkey bundt with gratitude feathers. I called the store today, and basically they took no responsibility for what took place. They just said I wasn't charged for it. Then I said isn't it weird to purchase gratitude feathers for a plain cake not decorated. The manager proceeded to tell me that maybe the young girl thought I was cheaping out... unbelievable! She also told me she spoke with my husband who said no one spoke to him. (They just left a message), which isn't what was stated to me. There are other stores in Northern NJ so that will be my first and last stop at the one in Paramus. The cakes are good, but not good enough to be treated in that manner. I suggest you try a different store with hopefully better service that doesn't try to tell you that you might have just...
