The Donut Palace Park Hills — Restaurant in Park Hills

This place has impressed me so much that I would like anyone who reads this review to please understand the sincerity when I say, from the very first time I ever left with a dozen donuts, I felt as though both the owner and the business as a whole truly, genuinely, deserve success. Every time I'm in there I somehow leave happy. And the owner is a true good dude. I have never walked out of there without free donuts he randomly adds to my family's pile. He's even the type of person that can have local business conversation in a matter of seconds and not only are you caught up on the news of the town but leave feeling as though your morning was successful. Today was the first time I've ever been here and I will never go back! I ordered a dozen unfilled Long John's, 1/2 white, 1/2 chocolate. Sign price showed $13.99. I was charged $19.24. When I inquired about the charge I was given the response, "tax." I quickly responded tax on $13.99 is not over $5. This is when she went and got a male from the back. He told me to get that price they all had to be the same flavor. I said, "Your sign doesn't say that and they are all the same price, regardless of icing. He then said he would discount one of them. Lots of yummy food to choose from. I like how they make breakfast croissants. I got a custard filled long John and it was delish. They have a couple of coolers with different drinks. Also, there are a few tables so you can sit enjoy your food. Would recommend. The cinnamon rolls looked amazing but I'm trying to eat healthier so I only got one item 🤣 I'll be trying the cinnamon rolls next...
