1/15/22-Once they sat us down and we went to order they pointed out a sign that showed they automatically charged 18% tip. I wanted to leave because places that do this are just giving their wait staff permission to give bad service, but my mom wanted to stay and give them a chance.
This place proved me right. First it was freezing in there and I found myself shivering even with a winter coat on. Then we had ordered Boba drinks that they didn't even start to make them until they served my mom her food. Drinks should never arrive after the food. If it takes you that long to get drinks out then you have issues. Then they had bad timing both in the kitchen and in serving the food. My mom's food came out 10 minutes before mine did. The food was about average or 3 stars. The bobas were also hard which means they were not prepared correctly. A good waiter knows that you serve the whole table at once and not in pieces. Then I wasn't even offered a water refill till we were asking for the bill to go.
This place reinforces horrible customer service from its wait staff. I worked in food service for seven years and earned good tips by doing good service. This place charges you for bad service. Do not go to this place until they either change their auto tipping policy or hire wait staff that actually deserves to get tips. Just avoid this place. There are better options nearby that have better service and...
Read moreI wish we could have tried this amazing food. It was our first time there and our son threw the straws on the floor so my husband popped him on the hand. The black-haired high school aged girl who works there, felt it was appropriate to continuously and loudly voice her opinions behind the counter, of how we beat him to shut him up! She continued to say that she got beat when she ran away from home for 4 hours BUT what we did was not ok! I asked if there was a problem and that snarky little attitude kept coming at us. She kept saying this was a family restaurant… absolutely it is, and the behavior and how we reprimand our children (which was a pop on the hand) was not her business to speak on. We will not have our kids ruin other families experience at dinner time in public.
IF THE OWNER IS READING THIS- please reconsider who you have staffed because this lost the business money. She is the epitome of what’s wrong in this world and the entitlement of youth. Thinking they can say whatever they want whether at work or not, and not being reprimanded for their mouths. An employee who can’t be professional like the other young, long haired girl and guy who worked there (who said they didn’t “want to be involved” and just wanted to do their job), is a very high risk to small business. Hope we can come Back when she...
Read moreWhat the Pho? quietly arrived in Parker over the holidays, and I'm thrilled to say that I've found my new favorite pho spot in Parker/Lone Tree/Castle Rock. The location is clean and modern. From the pho to the spring rolls, the food is fresh and great. The service is super friendly, and it feels like a real sitdown restaurant.
Located in the former Jozi's Kitchen spot near Safeway, What the Pho? is next to Poke Bowl just off Parker Road, near Planet Fitness. They offer pho bowls, banh mi, and even have Korean dishes for dinner. We have a lot of pho options in Parker, but WTP stands among the best of them.
I had the rare steak pho (my go-to at any pho restaurant), and it was one of the best bowls of pho I've had in the Denver Metro area. The broth was light and flavorful. The toppings were bright and served on a real plate. And of course, the size of the bowl was general. We also had the fresh spring rolls, which came with a freshly Vitamixed peanut sauce.
I already know that I'll be a regular at WTP, and I look forward to trying some of their non-pho dinner...
