My family usually come here when we come to Denver. We love the food and it's usually great service. On Thursday, I came with my family from out of town. Our server was obviously new. He bought out our check without asking how we wanted it split. Then we told him to split it and he still didn't ask how before coming out with checks for every person even the 6 yo. We just laughed until it was time to pay. My family of 4 put our checks together and were able to pay, but my mom, dad, sister and nephews had issues paying. My father's card was ran several times and it was declined. My mother's card was ran several times and it was declined. They both checked their bank and they had money in their accounts. My sister to tried her card, same thing. The manager said that the cards are pre-scanned so it's not going to be shown in their accounts. However, I figured that their cards was being blocked on the account because they are out of town. I gave them my card and then the manager realized that the system has a $100 limit. So, the manager said that she would run my sister's card twice, once for $100 and again for $9 and some change. However, on Friday at about 2:45pm I saw that my card was charged instead. I asked my sister if she was charged and she told me that she was charged 2x, once like was discussed and again. So at the end, my family paid 3x more than what we were supposed to pay. I was so embarrassed because this is my parents first time visiting me. I told them about how wonderful this place was, only to have this experience. They liked the food, but did not enjoy the hassle to pay. As they are older and African Americans and the manager was white, they believed that the hassle was racially influenced. I assured them that even the manager didn't know that there was a $100 limit. I tried to call to get a refund for the overpayment, but no one answered. So, I'm leaving this review in hopes to...
Read moreAre waitress Kara needs to be fired!! We went in on a Friday morning it was pretty busy but not too bad only like a 2-5 minute wait. We got seated and was told our waitress would be with us soon. We waited 15 min and Kara finally came and got are drink orders. We told her we were ready to order and she gave us a rude glare and just ignored us and left. We waited another 10 minutes for our drinks before she came back to get our order. The food came out pretty fast but they forgot my fruit order when I reminded Kara she gave me some attitude and didn't return with the fruit for another 10 min. After we were done eating she slammed the receipt down on the table. That was my last straw, I tip based on service. I also work as a waitress so I understand what tips mean. I usually tip the bill or 25-30%. She charged the card and slammed the card and pen on the table again. She was rude to us from the beginning and clammed she was the manger. I had it and was completely over it. I decided that she didn't deserve a tip at all but ended up giving her $4 for a $45 breakfast. (About 10%) We left and as I was pulling out of my parking spot she ran over to me and demanded me to roll down my window as she started hitting my car with her hand. I cracked my window and she told me to roll it down all the way. I told her no and she said I couldn't tip $4 for a $45 ticket. I said she shouldn't have been rude and treated us like trash. She kept yelling at me (keep in mind in front of customer waiting outside) making a fool of herself. I finally said I was going to call the cops if she didn't leave and she ran back inside. I called to complain and Manger Sussie answered the phone. She then hung up on me when I tired to explain what happened. When did this business go...
Read moreTerrible experience. Service - terrible - The lady who helped our way to the seating was terribly rude. Food - Awful - 6 dishes ordered with none of them tasted nearly close to what they should have. You can't possibly go wrong with benedict and we ordered 4 different types of them. Food quality - Will let you judge it - We found hair in 2 of the 6 dishes we ordered.
Sequence of events - We were a big group, and we got notified of our table over a text and when we came in we were told to wait since the table was not available yet. Also even when I said the whole party was waiting outside in the parking lot they said very rudely that they have to be in the building before they give us the table, and ironically were asked to wait outside while they were getting our table ready.
We did ask a table for 6 while we also had a kid, ofcourse our fault but we were told very rudely that "that counts as 7, so next time you book make sure you put down 7 in there."
The food quality and taste not even close to something I would make at home and serve to my guests.
Its a 1 star by default but also 2 reasons I would still give it a star The waitress was polite We were not charged for the 2 dishes which had hair in it.
I have visited this place about a year ago and this used to be really good, both food and service. Not sure if there is a change in management but would request folks to look into the same and teach the customer facing folks to polish themselves. We visited on 20th Aug about 11:30 AM.
Definitely not going back unless the...
