Rocco & Anna's Ristorante — Restaurant in Parkesburg

Attempted to dine on 11/8. Had some really bad service at the bar. I do dine her enough that I am familiar with a few employees and have met customers on many occasions who are regulars. The bartender who did not promptly acknowledge my wife and I, was concerned about the drink orders... after waiting she told us that she was going to complete a large order for a group who came in after my wife & I had ordered, already waiting while the bartender finished other orders first...so we waited a bit more. Had to ask for menu's, we got one?! The unsweetened tea was ordered with packets of sugar, but had to ask again and then ask for a spoon while we wait as drinks are made for others....The Bartender that normally serves us was in house, when my wife walked in we thought it would be another wonderful night, however she was not manning the bar and this was a disappointment. The bar was not packed and the dining room was not full but it was right before 5pm. I am ok with the bartender being busy and a bit jammed up but do not ignore me and then do not prioritize me behind others who had not waited as long.

I paid the bar tab for the two drinks and left without being able to order appetizers or dinner......The bartender simply did not care and simply could not notice our disappointment, so we will give Rocco & Anna's a break for a while.

My wife and I celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary at Rocco & Anna's. The Martini my wife had was excellent, I was served an IPA from Root Down Brewery of Phoenixville which was tasty. Every bite of food was delicious, my wife enjoyed the Gluten Free Shells Our waitress Hanna was wonderful. The restaurant was cozy, quaint and most of all it was CLEAN which means more to me than the price, quality, quantity of food.

Apparently today (Feb6) was not a good day for this place. We understand that many places are having a hard time with getting people to work, but that is no reason to IGNORE patrons who HAD RESERVATIONS! We sat and realized that many tables were sat at the same time, but to have ALL employees to IGNORE us, is not good. Finally after 30 minutes, YES, 30 MINUTES we did get someone to bring us water who then said that someone would be right over to take our order. Well...10 minutes later, I think it was a manager I talked to that FINALLY got someone to take our order. The waiter really didn't feel like he wanted to be there. He took our order and TRIED, but failed to make up for completely ignoring us earlier. When I say IGNORE....I mean...both of the wait staff walked past us, looked directly at us and then walked away. Neither said "sorry, will be with you in a minute or two" or would you like some water while I take care of the people over here. Nope!! We had to ASK for the water. Our friends that we were with must have thought we were lying to them when we told them that the service and food is/was great. Our man friend was ready to leave after 15 minutes and to tell the truth, we should have. Did we get an apology from management or whoever the lady was that FINALLY got someone to wait on us? It did feel as if since the wait staff didn't know us, meaning we weren't/aren't regulars, then we didn't deserve good service. The woman waiting on tables was laughing, talking, joking with her tables and one of her tables was right next to us. She could have at least excused herself and waited on us since the young man who waited on us really couldn't be bothered with us. Will we be back? Don't know. We were really disheartened by the service...

Not a very good experience. 4 adults and 2 todlers. The only thing that was really good were the cheese fries. Pizza mediocre at best. Cheese steaks very bland. Shrimp scampi pasta was a big clump with no sauce to be seen even if they gave me bread there was nothing to dip it in. Bruschetta was brought out on toasted WHITE bread, awful. Someone wanted the salmon special, but they said they were out of it at 1:30 pm. Alternatively ordered some salmon pasta in some blush kinda sauce, horrible, person took only three bites maybe. Not to mention the owner and the family were the only ones dining with us, and never even looked our way or acknowledge at all. I did hear they have a new chef now, but afraid to waste my...
