I have never been to a place that was so lazy on their thought processes as this place is.. My child likes their cheeseburgers so mainly go for him. He likes it as cheeseburger only ketchup. I have never seen a place mess up something so simple as that several times before. I'm dumbfounded why this is so "hard" to do. Would say a kids meal with a cheeseburger ƶnly ketchup. Would either get a burger with just ketchup or one with all the stuff on it. Other businesses have no issues with something as simple as that. One time it occurred a mgr suggested to say "justaburger" add cheese and ketchup. So tried that a few times. They still messed that up. They would correct them most times after asking but just gets really frustrating that keeps occurring. This last time was the last straw for me a few weeks back. So needless to say was upset from being frustrated. They won't take their food back so basically had to do what I could to give it back to them stating wouldn't keep it by handing it back to them. Not throwing it or anything. So they got the "assistant manager" for me. My child is in back seat mind you starving from practice waiting for his food. This time she claimed the worker "forgot" to push plain. Instead of offering to make it right this time all she would say is we can refund you the order. I said that was fine angrily but thought they'd also remake the order for me given they have done that in the past. They did finally remake it. The "assistant manager" then had the audacity to lecture me on how she thought I was "acting rude" to them. It is not their "place" to lecture customers in drive thru on how they felt someone was behaving. They have no idea on the history and if "issues" have happened in the past. So is not their place to lecture people. I'm sure if similar things happened to her she would have been as frustrated. I have reported this to corporate and have not heard back from any mgmt at that store. Will prob not be going here again. Just warning to all about their lazy thought processes. So posting this as a warning to all to double check all your orders from here as chances are will be wrong...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFull disclosure: When Patrick Mahomes brought Texas fast food king, Whataburger, to Kansas City, I was like all other Whatavirgins and wanted to try my beloved quarterbackās favorite fast food. After the first one opened, I waited FOR AN HOUR with seemingly 1,000 other Kansas Citians on a 105-degree day to try a simple burger and fries combo. To say I was grossly disappointed was an understatement. I spent the next two years dissing Whataburger.
Fast forward to 2024, and the newest Whataburger opened in Parkville about five minutes from my apartment so I thought Iād give it another try. Patience worked because there are enough Whataburger around that itās not a civic event when one opens and there isnāt a mad rush for everyone to eat there.
The Parkville location is a very nice place to eat. The manager and staff exude a pleasant demeanor and make you believe they are sincerely happy you chose to eat there. Even at its busiest times, service is very fast, my food is always made to order, and a professional crew keeps the eating area clean.
My advice is to download the Whataburger app and sign up for their rewards program. It makes ordering and customizing your meal a breeze and you earn free food very quickly.
I highly recommend the Parkville...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe orange and white makes me hungry, but Iāve learned to be patient when I choose this Whataburger. This location is open 24 hours, which is rare in the area and something I really appreciate. The fries are great, and the spicy ketchup is a perfect match for them. They make wonderful shakes, and itās one of the few places where you can still find a real malt. Iāve also enjoyed their biscuits and other breakfast items, which are surprisingly good. The burgers are delicious and satisfying, though sometimes they feel like a slightly better version of Sonic rather than something special. What really holds this location back is the speed and communication. Orders often take an incredibly long time to complete, and itās not well communicated. Going through the drive-thru often ends with being asked to park somewhere and waiting far longer than at other similar spots. Even so, there are things that truly stand out about Whataburger, and Iām glad to have one in the area. Itās a great place for late-night meals and hearty burgers, but the slow service keeps it off my regular list most...
