Jersey's Corner — Restaurant in Parowan

My wife and I were wondering if anything was open in Parowan late on a Sunday evening. I opened maps, tapped 'Restaurants', then 'Open Now' expecting to see everything was closed - but to my surprise Jersey's Corner was open and they've got a 4.9?

I'm in.

We pulled up and wasn't sure that the Google hours were accurate, there were no indications that they were open (you all might want a neon OPEN sign up front) but we headed to the door anyway.

We were immediately greeted, sat and and our server was right there within 30 seconds asking what we'd like to drink. That's a great start!

The place is very clean, well organized and set up with booths on one side and a dining overflow and/or a banquet side with chairs and tables on the other side of a wall with a big doorway. Various knickknacks and signage here and there - not overdone but tastefully arranged.

The menu shocked me. I couldn't have expected to see choices like this in Parowan, Utah! Smash Burger Tacos? Greek Gyro? ...check this out: Mac&Cheese Waffle w/Pulled Pork, BBQ Sauce and Pickled Onions! Yes, you read that right. There's enough on this menu to keep me entertained for some time.

I got the Gyro and was happy to find the cold ingredients were cold, the meat was hot and the pita was warm. The fries are flat, almost like a thin battonet cut and were cooked properly and seasoned well.

My wife got the Smash Burger Tacos and had the same overall experience, cold food cold, hot food hot and even the taco tray wasn't cold enough to chill the taco wrap.

First bite impressions: FRESH, quality ingredients. The gyro had feta that was really good and fresh, I'm pretty sure the tzatziki didn't come out of a packet because it was SO fresh and tasty and the rest of the veggies didn't appear to have been pre cut and just sitting around waiting for a customer on a Sunday evening. Same with my wife's tacos! Fresh veggies, fresh warm taco wraps, burger cooked perfectly, crisp bacon and a sauce with some zing!

Our server was a delight. She was knowledgeable about the menu and offered suggestions, explaining that the weekend (4th of July) wiped out a few menu choices, but we found that there was plenty we still wanted to try! She kept our waters full and engaged in lively conversation when she could.

We Loved our first experience at Jerseys corner! The Service was fantastic ,we were seated quickly and checked on frequently throughout our meal by multiple members of their lovely staff . They were all Courteous,kind and attentive to their guests. We felt very welcomed!! Thank you! Our Food arrived fresh and in a truly orderly fashion . We started out with an order of the Mac and cheese bites ,and some fried cheese curds . Both dishes were generous portions,and delicious,especially complimented with their house made sauces ! I decided on one of the lunch specials (TKO burger) and my son opted for the western burger , both with fry’s( uniquely cut and fresh ) . Neither of us were disappointed with our choices. The TKO had just the right amount of spice to it ,house made sauce and again ,a very generous sized hand made patty(as i could only assume that quality of a burger is NOT store bought) . 10/10 to be bold ,one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten! My son’s Western burger was just as delightful, I’m honestly shocked that’s what he decided on ,because he’s new to that combination of flavors ,let’s just say I feel he went out of his culinary “comfort zone” ,but it did not disappoint. He was thrilled to see the hefty size of the burger, and fought a hard battle to finish it all ,but sadly he just could not deliver. In all fairness we may have been a little over zealous with attempting to finish our appetizers before our main course … which backfired on him ,but lucky for me ,as i plan to eat his leftovers behind his back in the middle of the night ,with absolutely zero shame!

All in all ,our entire dining experience was superb , from the moment we walked in ,to paying our tab ,we couldn’t have wished for a better first time at any restaurant. culinary excellence was delivered no doubt ,and we thank you for such a good experience ,We will eagerly await our return visit! My husband, brother-in-law and his family decided to go to Parowan to buy beef at Dry Lakes Ranch Beef just down the street on a Sunday. They drove in from St. George and we drove in from Enoch. We were hungry and ready for lunch when we discovered this gem in Parowan. Jersey’s corner is comfortable, clean and serves delicious homemade meals. Brother-in-law ordered smash burger tacos, my husband being a pastrami connoisseur, ordered the pastrami burger. I ordered jalapeños poppers and Parmesan garlic wings. Everything was delicious. A few days later my hubby and I went there for dinner and were impressed again. I really loved the PB&J burger. I know it sounds weird but trust me when I say, you won’t regret it. We shared a raspberry cheesecake slice for dessert that hit the spot. I look forward to taking my neighbor and friend there soon. I’m dying to try the peach cobbler. Next time I’ll take pictures to share. There will be a lot of “next times” because their food is delicious and prices are reasonable. Not to mention they are open Sundays and close at 9 pm weekdays. Now we have somewhere to...
