Food was incredibly delicious. Service was outstanding and courteous, bent over backwards to satisfy. Store is unbearably hot, so do not expect to eat in and enjoy. No air conditioning or fans to alleviate suffering. Aside from that and the extra "Merchant charges" I love this place. If you want lamb/falafel, they have the perfect meal for you!!!! Rice is delicious, Sauces are interesting if you are adventurous. Portions are generally generous, but beware late orders. Sometimes they clean and close early if business is slow. I always try to get in before 7 or 8PM.
Just returned again because I can't stay away..... Sadly my lamb platter became a lamb/chicken platter, but was still delicious. Not what I ordered, but couldn't stop eating. Temperature in store was much less suffocating. Staff is above and beyond accommodating, even if they make mistakes. I always send people to try this place, but advise them to watch because this is the second time order was misinterpreted. Trust me, food is NOT the issue, because I have NEVER tasted anything I didn't...
Read moreExcellent chai! I haven't tried the food yet but stopped by to try their drinks when I saw their sign for chai - I tried the masala chai and the cardamon chai and both were great! Very earthy, full of flavor and served very nice and hot in a small paper cup. Very authentic, and lightly sweetened with complex flavors. The masala was truly a mix of spices with had hints of star anise and five spice. The cardamom was very warming and milky. For a person new to chai, I would recommend the cardamom, but for someone looking to try unique and complex flavors, I would recommend the marsala.
Some recommendations to the restaurant from a connoisseur of drinks: 1. If possible, lower the price due to the size of the drink since it seemed a bit high for the size of the drink, 2. consider offering an iced chai in the summer, and 3. consider offering freshly made mango lassi (not the bottled version).
Thank you, I will be back to pick up some warm chai from your restaurant throughout the...
Read moreNothing special about this place and not sure why the ratings are so high. The portion sizes are actually smaller than other places for the same price. On the topic of price the restaurant charges an additional merchant fee of 3.5% without telling you. During payment on the POS interface, it labeled the total up-charge amount as tax. I only learned about the merchant fee later after emailing myself the receipt. Would be nice if they didn’t serve everything on single-use plastic. They had paper boxes but we didn’t see them use them while we were there.
The taste of the food was mediocre but not bad. The vegetables only included lettuce, onions and tomato. They cut the falafels in half making the dish appear to have more than it actually does. The hot sauce is on the spicy side so be careful.
The restroom was in the next room over to the left with no signage. The toilet was not clean and seemed...
