Andy's Hawg Wild BAR B-QUE — Restaurant in Pasadena

I've eaten here 3 times and the first 2 were delicious, which is the reason I'm giving them 2 stars not 1. I visited at lunchtime with my supervisor and a coworker. My coworker was overcharged a drink when her meal already came with one, I paid next and was charged a drink although I got water. When my roast chicken dinner came, the chicken was pink and partially raw where the thigh connected. I took my meal to the window, intending to get something else, but the cashier shoved my sides back at me and told me to "take this" and walked away with my chicken before I could say anything else. She brought the closed container back, told me she had cut it up and made some excuses as she walked away about they cook to an internal temp, how it is cooked, etc. When I opened the container, I realized she had cut the same chicken up, removed the thigh that was partially raw and given it back to me. The rest was cooked at least, and I didn't want to disrupt our meal further after all the other issues. However, I paid for a full meal, I intended to take half the chicken for my dinner, but didn't receive it. When she overcharged us, she made a comment about being glad we caught her mistakes or she would have had to give us a free banana pudding. She barely apologized for my undercooked chicken let alone offered anything for wasting my lunchtime or the chicken she removed. I did call the restaurant later to speak to the manager about the cashier, only to be told that cashier was one of the managers! Horrible display of management and lack of people skills. It's a little Hidden Gem hidden in the middle of a Suburban neighborhood I had to Google it in order to find out where it was but once I got there I definitely wasn't disappointed when I walked in the place definitely has that typical Texas feel to it country music playing in the background and lots of locals you can definitely tell this place has been a staple of the neighborhood for a long time I ordered the two Meat barbecue plate brisket and pulled pork with two sides they served it to me within literally 5 minutes of me ordering it so the service was super fast the brisket was so tender and juicy and melted in my mouth so tender so so tender and the pulled pork was a little dry but the homemade barbecue sauce that they had more than made up for that the atmosphere is really nice it's very cozy and comforting if it's your first time in Houston I definitely suggest you come...

I forgot how good their bbq stuffed potatoes are. Man, they are GOOD! They make some tasty yummy bbq. They load their potatoes up thick. I never can finish the whole thing but I come pretty close. They are that big and delicious. Also, the staff is some of the most friendly down home folks you could meet. In fact, this place is what Texas bbq and hospitality is all about. If you may have guest from other parts of the world, I highly recommend you bring them here for lunch or dinner. I guarantee they will be fully engaged in what one believes the Texas experience is. From the decor to the counter service, this is Texas Bbq. Make it really great for out-of-towners and yell out a few Yee-Haws like it's a normal everyday thing we do and enjoy the fun atmosphere.
