I am so disappointed in Pluckers for the experience that my family and I had!! We were celebrating my niece making homecoming queen at her school so of course we had a bigger party. We told the lady outside we had 13 people and she stated it would be an hour wait. We choose to wait because it was a Friday so we knew other places would have a wait as well. Plus this was the homecoming queens favorite place. After about 45 mins we noticed that others were coming (big parties as well) and being seated. We added another 6 people to our table in which the lady outside said it would be fine. Another 30mins go by and we are still waiting. We talk to someone inside and she says she is about to seat us BUT…such a big BUT…our party would be at two different tables. We’re thinking ok cool, she failed to say it would be in two different areas of the restaurant! WHAT KIND OF SENSE DOES THAT MAKE Pluckers?! Hesitant and hungry, we reluctantly sat down. One group of family by the restrooms in the back and the others by the front door. We asked to speak with the manager. He comes over saying that because we added people they had to do it this way. I told him that shouldn’t have mattered because we told the worker outside 45mins ago about the people that were added. He says he would see what he can do and NEVER COMES BACK! We finally ordered appetizers and drinks. The appetizers came out about 25mins later and only drinks for one table! Two of our parties left because they never received their drink!! Drinks!! The basics! We ordered food and when it arrived, one order didn’t receive their side. We waited, we ate, we finished, and she never got her side dish!! She ordered the naked chicken basket combo which comes with a side for $15. No extra charges. The tickets came out and they charged her $16 for 4 naked chicken strips! What?! That’s $4 a tender!!! With no side!!! How?! The young waitress tried to explain but it didn’t make sense. She advised to talk to the manager and we wanted to. We were told that he was on the phone and if we wanted to wait 10 additional minutes he would come and talk to us! We had already been there 4 hours and weren’t happy but didn’t want to wait any longer. The waitress brought out a $20 gift card for a table of 10 outta 19 people for our displeasure. What is $20 going to do?! No one wanted it because it was for sure we would not return. We gave it to the $16 ticket. SMH! The experience was trash, the food was trash and the management was trash! So upsetting to spend money at a place and...
Read moreThis was the worst restaurant I've been to in a hot minute. It feels like it wants to be the hottest hippest new restaurant with a billion and a half TV's and a thermometer check before you walk in the door.
I never got to try the food because because we walked in and told them that we just left IHOP because there was a 45 minute wait. They immediately assured us that their restaurant was a better choice and that we could sit down IMMEDIATELY. Okay, so other than the very intrusive feeling thermometer gun held against the side of my head when I walked up, they seem to be off to a good start.
Now if i had to describe the feeling of the atmosphere I would probably use words like, chaotic, hectic, and loud. Think of a really crowded Chuck-E-Cheese combined with a really crowded frat house that sold flat screen TVs and was also a restaurant that served chicken and you would probably be sitting at Pluckers.
So while I'm already kind of regretting my decision to come here, a pretty over the top friendly waiter comes up and takes our drink order and disappears. In an almost reasonable amount of time he shows back up with the drinks and tells us he will give us more time to look over the menu. That was probably the last time we saw him for the next half hour or so. Then when we finally placed our order he disappears again and returns just a few times to tell us how the kitchen is very busy and we have to wait a little more for our food to come out.
We were waiting around so long that me and another guy just ended up losing our appetites because we were just so aggravated.
I know the restaurant was busy, I've been to plenty of busy restaurants before so that's not what I'm upset about. I'm upset that management didn't realize that they are basically at capacity and if they bring in more customers the customer's experience at their restaurant is going to suffer.
So I would have rather them been upfront with me at the door and tell me that if we sit down it's probably going to be about almost two hours before we actually get any food in our mouths, but instead, whether it be because of management being too confident, or corporate being to greedy, but I felt like 2 hours of my life we're wasted in hell.
I honestly think if I die and don't make it to heaven, I'm going to get sent to a Pluckers on a...
Read moreThe was the worst experience I had with dining out in a long time. Our server took a long time to greet us at our table. People that came in after us sat down and got service before we did. Then my husband ordered a Michelada (Dos XX) Tall No Ice. The beer comes back about 3/4 or less in a TALL beer glass. We asked the waitress why the glass was not full as we did ask for a Tall size and she could answer. We called a manager and he said it is not a full glass because they use a pre-measure mix and Micheladas usually comes with ice. Okay…But where is the beer?? Most places, put the beer in and then add the mix in it?? The manager took the Tall glass away and put the Michelada in a PINT glass, but then the manager told the waitress to still charge us for a TALL!! How does that make any sense if we only were served a pint of beer w/some mix? A Pint of beer is a Pint of Beer so why did we get charged for a Tall?? (Mind you we have ordered this before at Pluckers w/o problems). We got charged more for using a bigger glass with a pint of beer?? How does that make any sense?
Then I ordered a BUFFALO chicken sandwich and I got served a dry fried chicken without ANY buffalo sauce. I had to call a manager again, this time a different manager came to the table. I asked him to take the food away as this was not what I ordered and to remove it from my ticket. He agreed and then I asked to please bring me a small plate back. The manager Never came back to the table to bring me a plate or tell the waitress to bring me one. He didn’t make an effort to stop by the table again to follow up (or see if I got my plate) even after knowing I had not been happy with the service!!
This place was horrible. I find excellent restaurants are run by excellent managers, and this place is lacking that. I like Pluckers, but don’t think I will return to this location due to poor customer service and...
