Coastal Seafood & Daiquiri Bar — Restaurant in Pasadena

I came here with my husband and I never heard of this place but it popped up on Facebook and I just had to come and see what it was all about and let me tell you the food the Crawfish the shrimp were so delicious that this is going to be our go to spot.. I will let my family know about this place because it was good atmosphere the lady who worked the cashier she was very respectful very honest she understood and she was just plain nice. A very good person. And also came here for Father's Day with my husband and his best friend and we ended up eating the 5 lb crawfish for $30 and we ended up ordering the 2 lb shrimp and you get a free medium shrimp fried rice for $30. Order the sauce mild of coastal sauce is the best sauce you could ever have on shrimp and crawfish. This is like the best place we even ordered the Daiquiris and you can have them mixed up and they come in bubble cups which I think is awesome. I just posted some photos of the Crawfish but I did send a picture of the po-boy shrimp and it's a big sandwich you could either choose mayo, spicy mayo, or tartar sauce. Shocked by the 5% “Dine-In Fee”!

This was my third time coming here — food is good, but I just realized something that completely caught me off guard. They charge a 5% Dine-In Fee!

As a restaurant owner myself, I was honestly shocked. My restaurant offers full table service, and I see it as a blessing when customers dine in it means they enjoy our food and atmosphere, and if they choose to tip, it goes directly to our hardworking staff.

Here, you order at the counter, serve your own drink, and still get hit with a dine-in fee. I had never noticed it before — it’s written on the door as you walk in, but it’s easy to miss. I only caught it this time because we stopped to take a picture of their Halloween decorations on the way out and then looked at the receipt.

I always tip when I dine out, so paying an extra 5% fee on top of that just doesn’t sit right. It feels unnecessary, especially for a counter-service restaurant.

Good food, but charging your loyal customers to simply sit and eat inside...

Coastal Seafood delivers exactly what you want from a seafood boil spot — high-quality crawfish, bold flavors, and generous portions. The crawfish were fresh, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned. I chose the Coastal blend with hot heat, and it had just the right amount of spice without overpowering the natural flavor of the seafood.

The sides — corn, potatoes, and sausage — were cooked well and absorbed the seasoning beautifully. Everything arrived hot, flavorful, and served in generous portions.

The service was friendly and efficient. Staff Tiffany and Elizabeth checked in regularly without being intrusive, and the restaurant was clean and casual ideal for a relaxed meal with friends or family.

Overall, Coastal is a great choice if you’re craving a well-executed crawfish boil. It’s not overly fancy, but it delivers on freshness, flavor, and value. I would also highly recommend daiquiris and mixing flavors.
