Ernie's Cafe & Catering — Restaurant in Pasadena

I was in Pasadena, Texas killing some time and decided to find a place to eat lunch. There was an over abundance of fast food places to eat and I decided to find a more upscale place to eat. As I was driving around I saw Ernie's restaurant and noted there was a parking lot full of cars. Usually when you see a restaurant's parking lot full and it is the only business around it must be a good place to eat. So in I went. I was told by the lady at the door that they only had a booth and a small table available. Another indication that this must be a very good restaurant. They had a excellent menu and I chose: chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and white gravy, and okra. Wow, words can’t explain how Superb Ernie’s Cafe was. A customer of mine said let’s have lunch at a great place and that was definitely an understatement for sure. From the moment just stepping in and was greeted by Earnie the owner to being seated the staff was on their game. There was so many food choice’s and can accommodate for any appetite. Was recommended to try the pecan crusted chicken and was blown away. Came with two sides so went with fried okra and a side salad. Two great choices and was surprised how great the salad was and served in a cold bowl. It’s rare to find that and will definitely recommend to anyone to stop by. Very disappointed. My wife ordered the special (lasagna) and after our server took our order, she took the order of the table next to us. The lady at that table ordered the same, after a minute our server let us know they were out of lasagna but we noticed she didn't tell the other lady anything. My wife ordered something else and after a while we saw our server take the lasagna to the lady that ordered AFTER us. We asked our server afterwards why she did that and she said it was because they got there first but I told her what mattered was who orders first and told her that what she did was not right.
