It's a clean place. However the quality of food fell short for me. I ordered the chicken Guisado and it was far from authentic Salvadorean. It had little sauce and the chicken they used was bad quality. My boyfriend had to ask the waitress if she brought the correct dish to me because we were puzzled at the unauthenticity of it. We asked for extra sauce on the side but that didn't salvage the meal. This is one of my favorite Salvadorean dishes and I love it for the flavor, thick consistency of the stew like sauce. The pupusas were ok. The tortillas for our meals were too thin, they weren't thick like the authentic ones we're used to being served at from other authentic Salvadorean restaurants. My boyfriend got the carne asada breakfast plate. He said his steak was flavorless and asked me to try it for proof. He was correct. I also have tried their Sopa de Res. It lacks flavor, veggies and the meat was tough. We will not...

Came to this place because I was in the mood for pupusas and this is one of only 2 places in Pasadena that I know of that has them. In fact, the second place is a restaurant that's literally next door to this one.

In any case, tried a couple of their pupusas and was disappointed. One of them was super dry which is weird considering it was cheese and loroco. Then the chicken and cheese one was soggy, I assume from the chicken. Maybe that's why you don't see many places offer this combination but hey, I was feeling adventurous lol. Overall, all of their pupusas lacked flavor and the stuffing to masa ratio was definitely low.

I've also tried the pupusas from the restaurant next door to this one and while their pupusas are nothing to write home about I would choose them over this establishment.

I will say that the staff was attentive so they have that going for them.

PS They don't serve alcohol but the restaurant...

The food and price and service are top notch! Liver and onions are to die for, DELISH! SOUPS are super yum and of course pupusas and TAMALES are the reason we have been patrons for many years!! The best banana and strawberry shakes in town❣Our waitress Wendy is the best!

What I don't like is the loud, scolding of the kitchen staff and waitresses. That is unprofessional too boot. It caused my tummy and that of my children to turn. Today we couldn't finish our meals and went home feeling ill. It doesn't matter whom was disgustingly "in charge" - it was uncalled for.

There is a time, place, manner and decent way to display authority when disciplining employees. The female whom was yelling, loudly and in the vicinity of patrons eating, was out of line.

I hope this review is seen by the owner because this should never...

I came in late on a Friday and got vegan pupusas (one with beans, one with beans and zucchini) and some fried yuca. Everything was soooo good. Especially the yuca …won’t name names, but other nearby Salvadoran restaurants have stale and undercooked yuca. :/ Kind service, knew exactly what vegan meant. Took 20-25 min to get my order after placing. I’ll def be back! It’d be cool if they could make pupusas with rice flour. forgot to ask if this was an option . Also, I parked on the street but seems there is a lot behind the business.👍

I know not everyone knows how to do round pupusas but come on mix the chesse and pork not just leave the pork in the middle of the pupusas smh and at the end it had no type of flavor. And the casamiento was nasty the rice and beans were so mushy the only good thing was the tamal and the drink and the waiter coming an asking if everything was good but after that i Will not be coming back
