Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5): The Pasadena SDA Church is a traditional service that fits well for older church members. If you're looking for a friendly congregation with worship & praise through hymns, this is the church for you!
Welcomeness: I was greeted at the door by a greeter with a warm welcome and kind smile.
Environment/ The Building: The church has a traditional feel with a Spanish-colonial accent. Arches ran down the side of the sanctuary and chandelier lights hung from the high ceiling. It was well-lit with natural lighting streaming through the stain glass windows. The seating consisted of traditional cushioned pews that were 25% filled the congregation. It had a good sound system with a screen thatprojected words and visuals.
Atmosphere in church / The Feel: Because it was only 25% filled, it felt slightly empty. However, the people gave it a warm feeling and it felt peaceful and comfortable with the natural lighting.
Time of Service: 10:45-12:15pm
Worship Music
category: hymns
instrumentation type: piano, 5 Vocalists
quality: good
crowd engagement: good
duration: 3 songs
Sermon: Head pastor preached about conversion. His use of technology was great as he incorporated a slide show with pictures and quotes to help his sermon. He did a good job of using interesting and personal stories to emphasize his points. It was great to see props during his sermon as well!
duration: 11:20-12:15
Service: It was a traditional Seventh-day Adventist service that was peaceful, subdued, and at times slow. Children's Story, Lamb's offering, and Tithes & Offering Appeal was in between the Worship and the Sermon which seemed to disrupt the service flow of worship into the special music and message part of the service.
