This is the review by KAT , I know the manager said she wanted to read it, so here you go.
1st time visit, brought the family to celebrate a birthday. (Never got the cheesecake or singing staff) bummed about that but forgot to mention to manager due to the other issues taking precedence.
There was a few minute wait, we sat at the bar and when the hostess sat us at a requested booth, unfortunately one of our guests was cold so we requested to sit outside, our server Alex made it clear we could go outside but she didn't want to have to serve us outdoors due to the temps (its way cooler than it has been) we thanked her for her honesty and requested she get someone that wouldn't mind. She refused, saying she would wait on us. Ok. So all 4 of us in the party were still upbeat. She proved how much she DIDN'T want to wait in us outdoors, Alex was lacking in details severely, several times we had to request refills after she'd already been to the table and not done so (severaldrinks were empty and one close to empty, when she FINALLY came back i requested a glass of water she eventually returned with it)
When the food was brought out she slammed it down on the table behind us, when asked if she was OK she gave a very rude facial expression again making it clear she DID NOTwant to be serving outside.
After about 30 minutes of our food being served, i asked a 2nd time about my daughter's Oyster Rockefeller, Alex said they are still cooking they take 15 minutes. They were ordered with the meal, absolutely no reason she should have had to wait that long. It felt like the order wasn't put in, and instead of admitting to an honest mistake, she blew it off.
Also, there was what looked to be a tiny fried oyster it was actually a ball of pepper fried.
Finally brought them out.
We started with the spinach artichoke dip, and it was good. The fried mushrooms were a hit for all. And the tiny bread for $1.50 was ok but a bit salty. MOST of the food was great. The oyster Rockefeller was NOT good at all. They were floating in liquid, and the toppings all fell off as soon as my daughter tried to get one or of the shell. One person had the pasta he said it was great, another had the steak, also great, another person had the platter, the only thing they wanted and couldn't get was to swap the oysters for more shrimp, the potato salad is sour cream based such is usually ok, but it wasn't cared for. Also, there was a piece of oyster shell in one of my fried oysters. I had the shrimp and oyster half and half. I requested butter and salt for my baked potato by the time Alex FINALLY brought it, my potato was cold.
I would say the food is good enough to go back for, but I definitely will have a different server.
I let the manager know about Alex's attitude and the food. Forgot all about the celebration. Everyone was pretty much over the entire ordeal after us being there...
Read moreI have not always been a oyster lover, it takes A LOT to please me when it comes to my sensitive & particular pallet. I have not even always loved Seafood. When it comes to the flavors, the blend of spices & how it’s prepared & cooked I have very high expectations. I do not want to taste the Sea in my foods. Texture can be an immediate turn off if it’s not well prepared. The hostesses were charming & very polite. We had to wait 45 minutes or so after driving 8 hrs from Flordia. The only down side to our entire experience would be after waiting & being seated some complimentary bread or salad would have made me happier, & much less moody by the time we sat down I had already crossed over from delightful little school girl to impatiently hangry. We were traveling back from Florida from our honeymoon. We did start off with a couple of drinks to help split the time. The atmosphere is very “private club” feeling. You had some people in their polos & Sunday best, others in shorts & T-shirts. It felt very classy & elegant, but also homey & had a down to Earth feel to the place. Our waitr Lewis was wonderful, he had our food in front of us quickly, lucky for him, “wink” He was very personable and right there when we needed him. The food was IMPECCABLE! The mahi-mahi was WELL balanced in flavor & spices, topped with beautiful shrimp with two delicious sides. (The fully loaded baked potato & green beans dashed with parmigiana cheese) Delish! We ordered to share the “Pelican Sampler” with 3 different flavored Charbroiled Oysters. (Cream cheese & jalapeño, bacon & red onion, Parmesan & Buttered Garlic) Each were beautifully portioned with each flavor that bounced on your tongue with delight. I could not pick a favored flavor between them. The setting was at a beautiful beachy feel Clubhouse vibe right beside the water under a near bride, with a peaceful view of the water. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and they definitely redeemed themselves with their flavors from their wait time with an exquisite evening out for couples & families alike. It was worth the wait & will definitely be back to enjoy another evening out to delight ourselves with another delectable evening & incredible foods. Ask for Lewis! ;) He...
Read moreSeating, service, and manager were awful. We were told there would be a 45 minute wait. We had to wait an hour and a half. We were a party of 9. When we were finally seated, after much discussion with the hostess desk, we were seated at two seperate tables. They refused to push the tables together. They also tried to charge us a 20% automatic large group gratuity even though we were not seated, served, or treated like a large group. The two tables they seated us at had been empty for nearly an hour, (we watched). The manager was unfriendly and uncaring when we complained. She took the attitude of "too bad, so sad" which only added to our frustration. She did nothing to correct the situation and even argued with us. The hostess desk acted like our name had never been on the list even though they clearly saw all of us taking up their seating for so long and we showed them where our name was in fact on the list. They kept bringing us the wrong food. One in our party ordered a Shirley Temple and another ordered an ice water. The Shirley Temple was made with water and cherry syrup and the water was Sprite. After we ordered and we waited for even longer the waitress told us they were out of chicken. The one in our party who ordered the chicken had to make another choice. Meanwhile, every one else's order was ready to serve. Again, more waiting. My husband and I are locals and have eaten here a few times before. The rest of our party was family from Alaska, Arizona, Texas and Florida. We were so excited to bring them to Brady's for dinner during their visit. Never again!...
