Our recent visit to the restaurant on a bustling Friday night came with its share of anticipation, primarily due to the wait time we encountered upon arrival. Despite this, the experience we had was unequivocally worth every minute spent in anticipation. The array of flavors we were introduced to that evening was truly exceptional.
Among the highlights of our meal were the CB Sushi rolls, which offered a delightful twist on traditional sushi, presenting a fusion of flavors that were both innovative and deeply satisfying. The Korean tacos were another standout, brilliantly marrying the bold flavors of Korean cuisine with the classic taco form in a way that was both surprising and utterly delicious. To top off an already memorable meal, the brownie ice cream dessert was simply divine, combining the warmth of a rich, gooey brownie with the cool, creamy texture of ice cream - a perfect end to a fantastic dining experience.
Adding to the ambiance of the evening was the live music that filled the space, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. The musicians were incredibly talented, their performance enhancing our dining experience and contributing to a truly fantastic night out.
In summary, the wait was a small price to pay for the culinary adventure we embarked upon. The combination of amazing food, lively music, and an overall vibrant atmosphere made our visit memorable. We are already looking forward to our next visit, eager to explore more of what this remarkable establishment...
Read moreExtreme bar atmosphere, don't expect a typical restaurant. I personally enjoyed the dynamic, but it's a particular taste, not for all. While researching the place online, it never occurred to me that children would not comfortable. I brought my 9yr old. When approaching the restaurant, a group of people were standing outside. This is common at popular places, so we didn't think much of it. However, as we got closer to the door, I realized that they were all enjoying some drinks. Then we start hearing one patron cursing during a rant about someone. We had to walk through them to get to the door. Once we enter, we are suddenly in a bar. There was nobody to greet, yet a sign telling you that children have to sit in the back. We found that it was much more cozy in the back, but still lacking. All of this was really no big deal, just very unexpected. The menu is extremely limited. I'm using the word extremely people! You have 4 options. Sushi, salad, PoBoy, appetizer (heavy Asian influence on the appetizers). That's it. No sides (except Zapps potato chips). No kid's options. Again, it isn't bad at all if you are expecting a bar. The food and service were pretty good. Not outstanding. Quality and cleanliness were very good. The live music was cool. The female singer that we were lucky enough to catch was very talented. Redheaded girl. I tried the Jackimo and...
Read moreWe sat at the bar, 6pm on a Friday night. The atmosphere was nice, casual wth great "oldies" easy R&B music at just the right volume. A musician was setting up while we were there, but we left before he started. The bartenders were friendly and service good. We ordered shrimp and grits, and shrimp po'boy. It wasn't very busy, but the food was a little slow coming out. The dishes were well prepared, and tasty, but Asian style, so we were a little surprised. We could tell that the rest of the limited menu was Asian inspired, from the descriptions, but were not expecting tempura shrimp with sticky Asian sauce on a grits cake, or tempura shrimp on a po'boy bun with Asian noodle chips. It would have been nice to have those dishes cooked Southern style, or to have a cheeseburger or American pub type appetizers offered on the menu. We don't care for sushi, either, so won't be back...
