My wife and I ate at Scranton's (downtown Pascagoula) recently and I just had to compliment them on the quality of their food. We had not eaten there in a long time and were pleasantly surprised by the new decor and enjoyed reminiscing about the many times we had eaten there in the past. But the main reason for writing this was the downright tastiness of the food that we had! The Marguarite Special was wonderful and reminded us of the meal's namesake restaurant that we also used to frequent but is no longer there. But the fried shrimp is what really impressed us the most. It was the best shrimp I have put in my mouth in a long, long time. I would venture to say it is by far the best tasting fried shrimp in town, if not on the entire coast. If you haven't been there in a while, or haven't been there at all, you owe it to yourself to try it out. You won't be disappointed. I also have to say our waitress was very friendly and made our visit that much more enjoyable. We will definately...

Read moreDisappointing 1st experience. 2 out of 3 things I wanted to order they were out of. Ended up with the firehouse salad and hamburger steak. Neither was bad, but I wasn't impressed either. The chicken on the salad was a little dry, like it was precooked and had been sitting. Probably should've gone with regular ranch, not a fan of chipotle. The hamburger steak was decent, tender and tasted exactly like you would think. A little heavy on the onions, but not bad. My order had also sat for a few minutes although I was waiting at the bar, and they weren't busy. Kitchen staff handed it to me as they were refilling their drink. The interior itself, the bar portion section at least was warm and cozy. Has an English pub vibe. Didn't have any drinks while I waited this go. They have an interesting menu, and given limited options DT I'd give them...
