New China House — Restaurant in Passaic

I ordered over $100-worth of food for my family's dinner. Food was dropped off but over half of my order was missing. I tried to get in touch with my dasher but he didn't respond. Called the restaurant and could not get hold of a manager. They finally called me back after 15 minutes, meanwhile, the little food that I do have is getting cold. The manager agreed to find a dasher to deliver the remaining food. Too bad they delivered to the wrong address despite me spelling it out for them.

The delivery guy yelled at me as if I made him deliver to the wrong address and hung up on me. I called him 5 times and he did not pick up. Finally, I called the restaurant and AGAIN had to spell out my address. It took over an hour for the second half to arrive.

I complained to DoorDash about half of my meal being missing and I was refunded for the food that never arrived.

Had to reheat all of the food I originally received which was mediocre at best. Couldn't even eat the egg foo yung because the sauce for it was in the half that was not delivered.

After waiting over another hour, the second bag finally arrived. Nothing in the second bag tasted fresh or was even warm so it's safe to assume all that food had just been travelling to anywhere besides the correct address. Instead of being remade.

On top of all of this, 2 hours after my family had finished this disappointing meal, the owner called me asking why I reached out to DoorDash to complain about the delivery issue. She accused me of just wanting free food and yelled at me in mandarin. I stopped her and asked her if I could get a turn to talk. When I explained that my complaint to DoorDash happened before I was able to get a hold of the delivery person and the manager, she put a translator on the phone. She yelled at him the whole time and the translator asked if I still had the food. ??? As if what? You're going to come to my house in the middle of the night to pick up your inedible food after all the preventable trouble you put my family through?

Maybe it's time for a staff development day.

Don't order from here unless you want to have your time wasted and to be harassed by disorganized,...

Please do not order from this place disscusting food ordered shrimps freied rice and chicken wings when food arrived tipp the guy 5 dollars and when opened the cont rice was stale sunk and looks awful wings were left over fried again I called the restaurant and lady tells me the closed call tomorrow I just got of the phone with manager requests were is the food I told him in my garbage were it belongs so he said I can't do anything waisted $16 for garbage do your self favor don't waist your money here go to Kens he will make sure you get fresh food i would give you 0 star . Going to city inspector...

I used to work at a facility in the area & stumbled across this business one day. There's not 1 thing I've ordered from this place, that hasn't been good & the portions are large. I've been traveling from several towns over, to go there. I also, noticed, a few days ago, that they had fried gizzards on their menu... haven't seen that on a menu in many years... I'm gonna have to get some next round...lol. They're friendly & fast...but parking on the other hand is atrocious... It's the reason I don't visit this place...
