Before I review I want to stress this.... Staff were absolutely awesome! Please read that first before you read the following... This is an extremely honest review and I wanted to make sure that I got that out before I discussed my food. First off ...all I got was chicken wings...which is my usual item to review. My first bite led me to believe that the wings were all going to be great..... So I started off with a really solid taste of salt and vinegar... First bite was crispy and seasoned well..... after that it was all downhill from there... The very first bite of that wing was crispy on the top but the rest of the wing was completely soggy. The flavor on the rest of my wings was dull in comparison to the very first bite. It was in no way, shape, or form the worst wing I've ever had... but if I were specifically going for wings... It would be a hard pass. I have not tasted any of their other food. This review is simply for the people who are chicken wing enthusiasts. I'd say make sure that your wings maintain their flavor throughout...
Start with Dry Skin
Pat wings dry with paper towels. Any surface moisture will turn to steam and make the skin soggy.
For extra crispness, leave the wings uncovered on a rack in the fridge for 8–24 hours to air-dry (this is a game changer).
Season Smart
Use salt early—salt helps draw out surface moisture and break down proteins for crispier skin.
Avoid heavy wet marinades before cooking; use a dry rub or toss in baking powder + salt (baking powder raises the skin’s pH, which helps it brown and blister).
Render the Fat
Chicken skin has a lot of fat that needs to melt out so the skin can crisp.
(Just a psycho chicken wing...
Read moreThis is probably the first legitimate review of the establishment on here the rest I feel from his relatives or workers. The Food quality, and quantity is below average ! The Beer selection, especially IPA is sadly lacking! We had the buffalo chicken wings, which were undercooked and tasted very weird not buffalo at all! Then we had the nachos Which were flavorful, but lack a protein! Finally, we went with Chicago dogs again cold Lacking any real flavor Everything Was overly seasoned and salty. The Work they did to the place is amazing You won’t recognize the interior. But the bar stools are undersized and the foot rail is too low to be comfortable, it was extremely loud after being there a couple hours I had to leave because I had a headache. Again, beer selection Insufficient, especially in the IPAs they don’t have captains Daughter, one of the most popular IPAs in the region. Overall, I give it three stars because I understand they just opened have to work out some kinks, but they have a restaurant in Providence so it should be better! I don’t think I’ll be going back...
Read moreOkay I don't want to sound negative I've been in the industry for many many years still am so first of all I ordered the beef stew very very good dish however it was so so salty I could only eat a little bit of it and when I took it home other people tried it and they said the same thing couldn't eat it way too salty, secondly the $10 Margarita came in a rock's glass really?? That was totally not worth it would never order another Margarita there again most places will definitely give you a 12 oz glass at least, thirdly love what you did with the place however the bar was jam-packed with seats like you could barely squeeze in so I had to pull a couple of chairs and move them out into the aisle nobody wants to be that crowded you're trying to get too many people in the bar....SORRY.. BUT COMPETITION IS BIG... he's an honest and sincere observations I'm not trying to be critical just...
