A tremendous new asset to our community... although my waistline has thoughts. Custard and service were both great, as at any Andy's.
The app worked very well. One very important point I learned: you don't have to actually ORDER in the app! I hate ordering food in apps. Here, you just hit a "Check In" button that gives you 30 mins to order in person. So, you can dither in front of the menu for as long as you want (which I always do, before ordering the same thing anyways). The app gives you a small code to tell the cashier when you pay, and that's how they credit your points.
If I may make a small suggestion: everybody's JOB NO. 1 should be to get a prepared ice cream into the customer's hands. Right away, no exceptions. I sadly watched mine sit on the counter for minutes while my cashier worked with a family of six making up their minds, explaining the app, etc., because I, like most Southerners, am too polite to say "gimme my dang ice cream NOW"! (Not "dang", but youknowwhatimean).
Folks, this is custard, not hard ice cream, and it's summertime in Georgia. Mine was already melty when I finally got it. Hopefully an easy fix.
Welcome to Sharpsburg, best of luck, and keep up...
Read moreI had a BOGO free coupon and took my 2 boys to get ice cream for the 3 of us. I handed the cashier my coupon, ordered 2 concretes, and 1 shake. My total came to $25.54. I asked the cashier if that was with the BOGO free, and she replied that it was. I was thinking that was an absurd amount. After I paid with my debit card, I asked for a receipt. The cashier walked away to talk to a coworker. When she returned a few minutes later, she told me that the coupon could not be applied after paying. I stated that she told me it had already been applied, to which she replied that she was really sorry. To say I was angry is an understatement. She knew what she did, and she wasn't sorry until she was caught. I had to tell her to give me my coupon back, also. I was so furious that I didn't realize until I got into my car that I received 2 shakes and 1 concrete instead of 1 shake and...
Read moreYou can definitely tell this is a new location. While the young lady at the window was polite, the custard was lacking. I ordered the Key Lime concrete (which is one of my favorite pies). First two bites were okay, had the graham crust and were tangy. After 2-3 bites there wasn’t any graham crust and the custard tasted like vanilla. So about 2/3 of the concrete was just plain… disappointing . I don’t know if I’ll give it another chance to be honest. Over $8 dollars for a meh custard isn’t giving me the feels. Don’t know how much exactly the total was because they never gave me a receipt through the drive through window. That makes me a little weary of going back too. I wanted to love...
