That Special Touch Flowers — Restaurant in Pearl

First fact...I have ordered birthday, baby shower, wedding shower, wedding cakes, anniversary cakes from this establishment for over twenty-seven (27) years. The cakes are always wonderful and designed to specification. NEXT FACT: I am now a Grandmother of three boys and we have BIG birthday celebrations. I ordered a cake yesterday, called back this morning to change the cake flavor, because the child wanted a different flavor than I ordered. The cake was not made yet, but owner, Richard Bailey, refused to change the flavor, even though the order had not been started. I emphasized the fact that myself, family, relatives, co-workers, previous employers, and known associates ...all order from this establishment because of word of mouth, personal attendance at functions and trust. Mr.Bailey did NOT appreciate the business that he was afforded over the last 27 years due to the aforementioned fact. I asked if he would rather lose the respect, loyalty and business rather than change the flavor of a cake that was not NOT made yet....his response was " what is the name that it was ordered under?" I gave him my name again and he cancelled the order. There was NO interest in keeping our business, he offered no alternatives or resolution.

I assume he has grown too accustomed to his success and has forgotten how to provide TRUE customer service to LOYAl customers. This will truly be his loss because the same way I spread the word and sang his praises for his cakes over the last 27 years...I will sing the exact OPPOSITE and spread my discontent for the next 27 years.

VERY dissatisfied, dissapointed...

Went in for my wedding cake tasting . She wrote EVERYTHING I want down and also showed her a pictures ! I wanted a LIGHT LIGHT blue cake ! 2 weeks before my wedding I called to make sure everything was still okay and everything looked good . . She COULDNT find my info for my bride cake but found the information for the grooms cake . . . Fast forward to the day of my wedding . . The grooms cake was AMAZING I’ll give them that ! ! Then they came in with the bride cake ! It was BLUE BLUE !!!!!!! NOT the blue that I had asked for at all ! When we confronted them about the issue that my information was lost and that WASNT the color I asked for the man apologized and the older lady that came with him didn’t say anything but just sat there . . I NEVER received a phone call to apologize that my information was lost or that my cake color was ruined . The guy seemed unbothered about the situation and left . . We have used Special touch before for other wedding cakes and birthday cakes . . I have referred a lot of friends and family to this place but will not from now on and will not be returning as well ! I was embarrassed that my cake looked the way it did . . This place has gone down hill big time and prices have went up . . Clearly with my information being lost they have to...

I hired this bakery to make my wedding cake. I had several appointments to ensure that my cake was all that I wanted. However, I experienced every bride's worse nightmare. My wedding cake was NOT what I ordered and discussed with Angela. When I called I was accussed of being rude and hostile which I was neither. She stated and I quote, " I heard you guys in there and just dropped off the cake and left. She even offered to give me $100." Most business people would at least say something to the bride or someone there to let them know that the cake arrived. She basically left the cake, in my opinion, and didn't say thing because she knew it was not what we agreed to. She even offered to come back and fix the cake immediately. But, she sent someone a hour before my wedding started. The taste was great. But, the customer service was horrible! I would recommend this bakery to no one. For the cost of the cake, the service that was recieved and offered...
