EDIT - This is no longer Violeta's as they were previously. They closed down two months ago and I was starting to think they had shut down for good until I saw the place lit up with open signs once again. I stopped by yesterday excited to see them open, but nothing was the same except the signage and the building itself. There is no smoked chicken on the menu as there is no Roberto to make it. The menu is much smaller and wildly different. The food was fine and the staff was nice. I'll go back again once they have things figured out better and I'll adjust my score then. I'm leaving my old review below. Their smoked chicken quesobirria is insane. Their food is a labor of love. I noticed the pickeled jalapeños were oddly shaped as if done by hand, and that's because they were. They are made by Roberto himself, the man does not cut any corners. Nothing comes out of a can or jar, it is made by hand fresh. I could hear the salsa being made right before it was brought out. The food here is just outstanding, pure quality.
