El Taco Loco Birrieria (Pecos) — Restaurant in Pecos

The food was extra delicious as per usual, but I have to say out of all the other locations I’ve been to they have the smallest portions that I’ve gotten.. and also the consommé did not have cilantro or onions in it and honestly just didn’t taste like the consommé I’ve had at the other locations !!! The other locations consommé taste very different. Although still delicious.

It look like half of a quesadilla. When I went to the one in Odessa, I spent $35 and got birria tacos and a birria quesadilla that was literally the size of two hands along with the best consommé I’ve ever had with limes cilantro!! at this particular location. I spent $23 and I only got a Birria half size quesadilla with a bottle of water. also want to add that they literally stare at you the entire time you’re checking out to almost pressure you to give them a tip. We are picking up our food. You’re working inside the restaurant with all due respect you’re not serving the food to me at my car. The Odessa experience I would go there every single day. I’m not a huge fan of the Pecos.

Extremely expensive for quality and taste. The chicharron burrito was disgusting, took 2 bites and trashed, beans were hard and the chicharron might have been spoiled. Birria was ok, Carne Asada was less than ok but better than horrible, how do you mess up Carne asada? I don't know ask the burrito loco people. The barbacoa was ok but not worth trying twice. Cokes are priced at $3!!! But they charge $3.50 All and all we spent $75 on 5 people for very bad food for 4 of the 5, would only recommend, from what we tasted, the Birria, but even then you'll pay $15 for 4 mediocre tacos. I will not eat here again and I really wouldn't recommend to anyone unless it is the only food left...

I ordered a burrito ($7.99) and it was incredibly small (see pic). I understand that food prices are up but the value received for the price paid is abysmal.

Upon visiting, I wasn't greeted kindly and it was more transactional than anything. I asked for some salsa and they gave me one tiny cup of salsa to eat with my burrito (good thing it was small)

On the upside, the burrito and salsa had great flavor but I will not return given the experience (and lack of value) on this visit. With a few adjustments to portion size and customer service, I think this taco stop would be a excellent place for...
