I don't ever write reviews like this but unfortunately, that's how it has to be this time. I remember coming to this Dairy Queen when I was younger and Dairy Queen was a happy experience....a positive childhood memory but this time it was far from that. The restaurant was pretty run down/ wore out, dirty, outdated, and honestly pretty sketchy. It seemed like it was maybe family owed but I'm not sure. When we got there we almost left because there was no one there except 2 gentlemen standing behind the counter, it felt odd but he was polite. We ordered two chicken strip baskets, everything was made fresh but it was well done. There was also a problem with the gravy, it was chunky, in a concerning way. I did take it back up to the counter and he gave me another "cold" gravy from a refrigerator. It looked good but I asked if he could heat it and that's when the gravy started to "change". So it looked like that due to heating it in the microwave and not stirring it. I would suggest a new "chain" Dairy Queen be built and relocated closer to all the other stores and it would probably get alot of business; but this one, I'm sorry but I'll never...
Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars I would. In hindsight, I should've never gotten out of my car. The place looks very run down on the outside, but I had hope walking in. The place is even more run down on the inside. Doesn't look like it's been updated in at least 20 years. Then the food came, the gravy for my chicken was very chunky like it had been warmed up for the 100th time. The soda tasted like the nozzles hadn't been washed in 100 years. I ate, picked up my tray, my hand literally stuck to the tray is was sticky. Honestly, I don't think the tray had EVER been washed. The tables were very dirty as well. My friend used the bathroom and instantly regretted it. My friend and I are now very worried about food poisoning from reading the rest of the reviews. I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. DO NOT eat at this place. I will...
Read moreI am not from here but have been working here for 4 years and I used to go to this Dairy Queen quite often and always had to order Xtra stuff because when I ordered a Reese blizzard you would have hardly any pieces of candy so it would cost over $6.00 and sometimes even whe b I ordered Xtra there was steal hardly any candy in it. One day I stopped at a little ice cream shop, I think the name is Double D's in Pekin, anyway I ordered their equivalent to a blizzard and wow, they put more Reese on the top of it than DQ does in their entire blizzard and it cost $4.62 for a large and they put so much candy in it it's almost too much. They put way more blended in with the ice cream and then they put a couple of spoonful on the top. Never going back...
