Read moreTo be honest, my family has been eating here for about 2 years, all through the pandemic. I noticed several things about prices that made our ticket cost more than other places, however, we always enjoyed it and paid the few extra bucks. Earlier this year prices on the menu have been changed DRAMATICALLY with nearly EVERY item including drinks costing almost $2.00 more. The margaritas went from very weak to way too strong and almost sickening. I guess the inflation made them inflate their prices and I understand that, but seeing a total increase of nearly $20 on our final ticket along with a REDUCTION in the food available now in our entrée was just too much. My family all agreed the food was rather shy of the food it was in December 2021. I should've known when the place seemed empty compared to a normal Saturday night that something was off and once I saw the menu and saw our food and drink prices I knew. The reduction of food coupled with new inflated prices are a deal breaker for my family. I don't know if this is new management, but this change is just too much. So sorry Aztecas, we won't return because it's not the same value for our money as before. Adios Amigos.
We have since gave them another chance. The food portions were better and the drinks were more balanced. The food has always been great. Prices are still higher, but inflation is causing it. They're trying to hire good servers like everyone else around here. The prices will just cause me to eat here less often than before, but we will try to eat here...
Read moreIf I could, this would be a minus 5. The food was not that good. I had a Tamale $3, no red sauce, add cheese dip and a side of rice $2. I asked for cheese dip on both the Tamale and the rice. They charged a whopping $1.75 for cheese dip that barely covered the Tamale, none on the rice. Which I would have been mad if they had charged $1.75 twice for cheese dip on both. Most restaurants that sell Tamale's, add whole beans on the bottom and some kind of beef meat sauce on top. These people did not. It was a lonely Tamale with cheese dip on top for and unreasonable $4.75, and $2 for the rice, making it $6.75 for the pitiful plate. I asked for Flan, which was $3.50 dessert. The Flan was entirely the worst I had ever eaten in taste and texture. It was horrible, and tasted old. The owner runs the cash register, and come to find out (I asked him) is like Japanese or Chinese, and greedy bc he did not offer a discount for the horrible Flan. I love Flan and I told him that it tasted old and rubbery, and tasted horrible. No vanilla or something was wrong with it, or it was old. My bill was almost $12 for this horrible meal. Went to the bathroom and water was in the floor where I could have fallen. I looked out the hall way and it was coming from the kitchen ice machine. This guy needs to be shut down. The bathroom was filthy. These fake 5 star reviews are...
