What a weird experience! We stopped after my daughter's softball games at about noon. We dined in. Placed our orders and waited at our table... for nearly an hour and a half! Fortunately, we didn't have anywhere else we needed to be, but it was rather excessive. Apparently, there was a glitch linking orders to the numbers that were assigned to diners and things got really messed up.
As an IT guy, I fully understand how when systems go to pieces, it makes things difficult and the crew at Culver's was doing the best they could to resolve everyone's problems. There was a lot of frustration amongst patrons and the crew was great. Very apologetic, offering coupons for replacement meals, free frozen custards, and doing everything they could to make sure that those effected left with a positive impression.
Typically I would not give a 4 star rating to a fast food chain that took an hour and a half to serve their meal, but given the grace under pressure the crew displayed, they deserve it. We'll just chalk this up as another...
Read moreGreat food, but poor service at this location. I went up and placed my order for a milkshake, and the guy (has long hair, didn't catch his name) forgot to ask me "for here or to go?" so I said "to go" and he said "oh yeah I should have asked that". Then he hands me a table number. I told him it was to go again, and he says "yup I got it" and pushes the table number back to be on the counter. Whatever, so I take the table number to a table and wait. 20 min later I approach the counter and he says, "oh yeah, what were you waiting for?". Another worker goes and gets me my shake which was stored somewhere (refrigerator? not sure), and it was half melted. Wow just working this I got so annoyed I'm taking off...
Read moreI love Culver's. When given the opportunity I would choose it over almost any national fast food chain. The last time I ate here there were several people inside and at the drive through. Meanwhile the Burger King next door was nearly vacant. This was a very vivid example of which restaurant people prefer. Culver's is a hallmark fast food restaurant of the Midwest.
They recently redesigned the paper bags for their kids meals. Now Scoopie the frozen custard is the star of the show rather than Curdis the cheese curd. The bags still have the two coupons (Scoopie token & frozen custard). They have even more jokes which can be enjoyed by lighthearted people...
