Horrible Bakery and service. Do not special order any trays or cakes from this bakery. I ordered a tray of empanadas to take to a housewarming party several days in advance. Because I am aware that few of the employees speak English I specifically asked to speak to someone who spoke English to be sure my order was taken correctly over the phone. I asked what a tray would cost and was told $48 and it would feed 16 people. I asked they mix the tray with chicken and beef. I was told no problem. I asked that it be ready by 2pm on Saturday. I gave a credit card to secure the order as requested. Simple enough. Saturday comes and I decide to pick up the order on the way to Sunrise as it will be easier. I get a call asking if I am picking up. I tell them I will be there later in the day. I pick up the platter and the girl slides it into a plastic bag beyond my sight. Not really sure why since you hold a tray from the bottom so what is the need to cover it. I also pick up some other pastries which are placed on top of my tray. I arrive at the party and slide the bag off of the tray to bring in my promised tray of food. To my dismay, it is a tray of small slider like sandwiches. I am totally shocked! I walk in to the party very upset as I do not have the correct dish i was asked to bring. I go outside and call Buenos Aires immediately. I am told to bring it back tomorrow. Are you kidding me? You want me to march back in and take back the dish that was not even correct to begin with. They then say it is too late to make a new one. They go on to blame me for not looking at the tray. I said I would have if you didn't cover it with a bag. Why was it slid into a bag to begin with. I am told to make it easier to carry. That makes no sense. I can assure you I did not carry it by the handles. IT IS A TRAY!! Again i am blamed because I picked it up later and now they cannot make it correctly not that driving back to Pembroke Pines and leaving the party would have been an option for me. If the the order was done correctly it shouldn't matter what time i pick it up. They offer no partial credit and no solution. They tell me they are getting ready to close. At this point I am furious of the lack of customer service and empathy for the situation. I am told someone will call me the next day. I wait all day and no one calls me. Not wanting to ruin my Sunday with further aggravation I wait until Monday to call. I finally speak to the manager who offers to credit my account for the cost difference of an empanada tray versus a tiny sandwich tray. My response is don't you have to do that anyway? She goes on to say she will give me a credit of 10% for my next visit. Are you kidding me? I tell her to keep her $8 and 10% credit and I will never step foot in that bakery again as I was a long time customer and make sure everyone I know does the same. Click.. I know this is lengthy but it is almost therapeutic as I have never had a business treat me so badly over a blatantly clear mistake that they made. BTW, I took a bite out of one of the sandwiches and threw the rest away as the meat was beyond tough. I saw other guests do the same....
Read moreFood was delicious but watch your wallet. I used my debit card at this location and apparently they had a skimmer because soon thereafter I noticed two transactions for $1 towards gas. I reported the transactions to the bank who immediately took action unlike the store manager. Store manager simply said this sort of stuff is too complex and suggested to make a police report. I explained check your video cameras to see if anyone is tampering with the card readers on 11/27. Maybe an employee installs a skimmer and then uses the information? She immediately stated employees are trustworthy an understandable defense but as a customer I took the time to provide a courtesy visit to let them know what's going on in the hopes of stopping this type of theft. I also explained the debit card hasn't been used for a month and hasn't been used since this last transactions at the store. I authorized the purchase of pastries but no one told me it would cost me an additional two full tanks of gas at neighboring stations (Miami and Pembroke Pines). Store owner/manager check your cameras to see if anyone is tapering with your card readers!!!! Do your...
Read moreI love this bakery!!!!!.....,BUT.
I'm a regular costumer of this place, good facturas, tasty pastries, delicious empanadas, and many other argentinian delights .
BUT... they have a very unkind system with the new register machine. When you pay with card you are forced to give a tip, 15, 18 or 20 are suggested, te only way to not leave a tip is selecting "other" and put 0. Don't get me wrong, I'm a good tipper, I don't have a problem to give 15, 18, 20 or even more if the service was good. But I'm not going to leave 15% tip to a girl just for took my order of facturas and empanadas to go. And I think it's not fare to force all costumer to leave a tip in that way, is very awkward for the costumer be expose to that situation. Now I will always pay in cash and leave the tip in cash too.
An advice to the owner of this great bakery, FIX IT SOON, im pretty sure that I'm not the first or the last costumer thinking about the "register...
