You’re basically paying for a bowl of rice with 6 small bites of chicken. The person who I suppose is the manager, the lady was wearing a black collared shirt and glasses, she was packing my to go order as I walked in.. my first impression was that she had a horrible look on her face like she hated her life. I told her I think that’s my order and she just stared at me and pushed it towards me in a really rough way. If she is the manager they definitely need to coach her or hire someone with a better attitude. I asked for a cup of water she kept her head down completely ignored me and I had to ask someone else. Then I asked her hey why is there almost no chicken in here I always get chicken kitchen and it’s never been such a small portion. She shrugged her shoulders and said that’s the amount in a rude tone. Then she turned her back to continue talking to her coworkers and she made a comment about what I said and they all started laughing. Horrible experience. Read moreI used to love this place. Food was so much better than Pollo Tropical, always fresh and good quality. It used to be packed with a line out the door every time we came. But lately the service has been atrocious! And apparently they have scared off all the customers. I walked in tonight and the place was almost completely empty. There were four people behind the counter and no one even acknowledged that I had walked in. I could see that two of them were making some to-go orders and at first I was fine to wait. But after over 5 minutes with zero recognition of my existence my patience ran out. All they needed to do was look up and say, “Sorry ma’am we will be right with you as soon as we get these orders taken care of.” Or maybe call up one of the other two people to handle the to-go order while someone handles the in-person customers. Read moreI've been a loyal customer for over 5 years, visiting regularly and always enjoying their chicken dishes. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed by their recent policy change to charge extra for chicken with skin on.
For years, this was simply how their chicken was served – as it should be. Now, to suddenly be charged an additional fee for something that was always included feels like a hidden price increase disguised as an "option."
What's next – charging extra for bones....🤦♀️ This seems like an unusual way to increase profits at the expense of customer satisfaction.
While I've appreciated the consistent quality and service over the years, this new policy makes me question whether I'll continue to be a regular customer. I hope management reconsiders this decision, as it's leaving a bad taste with long-time patrons like myself.
