Ordered 3 pizzas online at 6pm. Didn’t see on the site where to set the pickup time so called in immediately after placing the order and informed them that I would need the pizzas ready for 7:30 and not 6:15pm. They said it was fine and adjusted the time to make them. I got to the store at exactly 7:30 and they gave me 3 cold boxes of pizza.
I asked the girl at the front (pictured) if the pizzas were just made. She said “yes”. I asked if they were made for 7:30, she said “yes”. I asked why are the boxed cold then. Her reply, “they were just made, it’s probably just the box”… the fact that someone would just flat out lie like that and make something up is beyond me. Definitely not someone that understands the simple laws of thermodynamics and why something that is piping hot placed in a box would make the box hot.
I opened the box, touched the pizza and it was cold. So it had been sitting there for easily over 1 hour and some change. I had to speak to the manager on-staff so they could make a new batch and you better believe I sat there in the store to watch and make sure they didn’t simply reheat my pizzas. Waste of time. Maybe next time I’ll try Dough Boys or Pizza Hut, because this was a joke and staff should not just be making things up like that.
I’m only giving 2 stars because they at least remade the pizzas. Only that’s 15/20 minutes of my life I’m not getting back.
In the end, I did end up getting three hot pizzas, and the manager offered me a free 2 liter bottle of soda to make up for the lost time. She did also apologize for...
Read morePlaced a big order for a party for 8:15pm that night. Called early around 2pm to give them enough time to make them for that same day. Around 4pm a gentleman called me and was reviewing my order, he said for the next day. I said no it is not for tomorrow it is for today. He was very nice but I was surprised the took the order wrong. Then at 8:20pm they were not there , I called the place and the girl said the guy left 10min ago. I said we’re 8min away he should have been here already. She said some pies took longer than others to come out of the oven.
She was talking in a way of I don’t care. Instead of saying let me call him to see what happen, she said I’m sorry not really meaning it. I said this is not acceptable because he should have left earlier people are waiting in the pizza. She said again I’m sorry in automatic mode. I had to say call the guy. She put me on hold then another guy came back and said he will be there in 5min with the same I don't care attitude. Five min later I called as the guy had not shown up. I said where is the guy call him again. She said he’s close by. At the end he came at 8:35pm and said I just grab the pizzas when they’re ready.
I think this is totally unacceptable, if Papa John’s can’t calculate how soon to put the pizzas in the oven to deliver on time, then don’t be in the business. And that I can understand a little, but the attitude of both attendants like they don’t care. They didn’t even said let me give you a credit or something. Bad...
Read moreTL;DR Shady delivery guy called wrong number, never delivered pizza but marked pizza as delivered, staff at location blamed me, asked me to leave and never reimbursed me for un-delivered pizza, despite saying they would.
I’ve ordered from papa John’s for as long as I can remember. Never had an issue, until…
Waiting on a pizza, watching the driver on the app, perplexed by how he drove near but never went into our gate.
The app then said “delivered”.
I called this location, they put me on hold. I stayed on the call and drove to them (still on hold), waited in line (still on hold). I got to the front of the line, watched them put someone else on hold (how many lines do they have?) and told them they could end my call. I asked what happened.
Delivery guy said he’d called me “seven times” and I didn’t answered so, my fault. He had been calling a number I had in 2018 (yet previous deliveries were no issue.) Cashier Karen told me that he tried to deliver but I didn’t answer so… Yknow…?
I said I didn’t care about the blame game. I wanted my pizza. They weren’t having it, not until they could exonerate themselves, make me understand and apologize for, in my frustration, saying “douchebag driver” and “is there an adult I could speak to?”
How hard would it have been to say, “my bad, sir, what was the pizza you had ordered?”
Horrible horrible experience.
I have since discovered how many other delicious options there are locally who deliver quickly and serve...
