Iāve always been a huge fan of Sr. de los Tacos, especially the Doral location, but the Pembroke Pines one? Complete disaster. We came as a group of six on Cinco de Mayo, excited to celebrate, and it turned into a total mess from the second we walked in.
There were no tables, fine, but when we politely asked the waitress how long the wait might be, she hit us with a nasty āI donāt knowā and a face full of attitude. We asked if she could write down our name and let us know when a table opened. She snapped back saying she wasnāt taking our order if we werenāt staying, completely misunderstanding and acting like we were the problem. After we calmly explained again, she grudgingly wrote us down like she was doing us a favor.
We found our own table about 10 minutes later and sat down, no one acknowledged us. One of my friends had to get up and grab the menus ourselves. When the waitress finally came over, I asked nicely if there were any Cinco de Mayo specials, she ignored me completely and instead told us they were closing at 10 (it was 9:00), had a bunch of Uber orders, and the food would take long so we had to hurry up. We were stunned. Another friend said, āAs long as weāre not kicked out before we finish eating,ā and this woman looked at her and said, āWell, itās 9:04.ā Like⦠are you serious?
We picked our food right away and tried to get her attention for 15 minutes. Waving, signaling... nothing. I had to physically get up and ask her to take our order.
Then came the drinks. I ordered a regular margarita and was given a weird frozen-ice combo drink that tasted off. I was told āwe donāt have regularā with zero heads-up or apology. When I asked to make it fully frozen at least, she acted like I was annoying her.
No plates. No silverware. No napkins. We were starving, and had to stop another waitress to ask for them. She grabbed used napkins from a just-cleared table and tossed them onto ours. For the utensils? Told us to get up and grab them ourselves. One of my friends had to walk to the service station and grab them.
And then, when we asked for actual plates, the waitress had the nerve to say āI donāt know if I have any clean plates.ā She came back with three plates for a table of six and said āThis is all I have.ā Honestly, what kind of restaurant canāt provide plates for their guests?
From start to finish, the service was disrespectful, careless, and beyond unprofessional. The staff clearly didnāt want us there and made no effort to hide it. Glaring looks, snarky comments, zero effort. We left zero tip and felt absolutely justified. No customer should be treated the way we were.
Save yourself the frustration. If you want good tacos and a good time, go to the Doral location or just order delivery. This Pembroke Pines...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI truly donāt understand why some people choose to work in the service industry when they seem so miserable doing it. During our visit, we experienced some of the worst service Iāve ever encountered. We simply asked for plates to eat our corn, and the server responded with an attitude. There were three of us at the table, yet they brought only two plates. The same thing happened when we asked for water ā only two cups were brought. When I politely reminded them that there were three of us, their attitude got even worse.
Itās baffling to be treated this way when youāre paying for a service. If someone doesnāt want to provide that service with at least a basic level of courtesy, they shouldnāt be working in this industry. On top of all that, the food was mediocre at best. If I could give zero stars, I would. Definitely not returning.
Automatic 18% service fee for horrendous service if your tab is over $50.
The experience was night and day compared to the Doral location. If they are the same owner they should definitely reevaluate the staff at this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEl SeƱor de los Tacos delivered an outstanding dining experience with its delicious food, vibrant atmosphere, and exceptional service. The campechano burrito was a standout dishāflavorful, hearty, and perfectly balanced. The agua de jamaica provided a refreshing contrast with its natural hibiscus flavor, while the guacamole was fresh, creamy, and generously portioned.
What truly set the experience apart was Sebastian, who was an amazing host and server. His warm, attentive service added a personal touch that made the meal even more enjoyable. From the moment I walked in, Sebastian ensured everything was perfect, making the dining experience memorable.
